  1. Thanks...Makes sense...it's not a fruit or Vegetable...

Although I've thought of covering it if there's an early frost warning...
    .
    Thanks for the reply...

  2. @ tokecity, I also am on the 41st parallel I am not so much worried about Frost, I've recently come across some other issues.

My girl currently only gets between two and three hours of direct sunlight and I noticed yesterday a little bit of black mold deep inside one of my colas, The plant still has at least two weeks left to finish, but I am going to cut my losses and take her down Tuesday or Wednesday of next week

The little bit of dew that forms every evening just is not drying fast enough with the couple of hours of sun that it gets I am absolutely heartbroken as everything was right on track entire Grow, but now the current trajectory of the sun is just wreaking havoc, I guess I should've thought of this before I started but I guess you can't think of everything

It's just a little tiny bit where the sun ducks behind the trees at about 11 AM and stays there for the rest of the day

    North of the 49th parallel...
but the plants have a lot of sun...
    my only concern was frost...
but listening to other made me think about crops left into deep cold of Winter...

  4. boom there in your yard right? Any chance you can run out 1 or 2 box fans??

  5. groot
I ask about the male because I'm always looking for new genetics, and I do not enjoy growing males :)
    Pm me.

  6. @NE, I did, I was running a fan the last few weeks, and threw a big ole beach umbrella over her at night to keep the majority of the dew off her,
It could have used a couple more weeks, but the lack of sun was just stalling that last fattening up , that combined with the couple spots of dark matter I found, I made the decision to take here down, in the tent drying
I gotta figure a way to get some photos up with out using this dreaded iPhone,
    Pretty happy overall,
Prolly gonna be about 15z dry flowers 🏻

  7. After the male had opened a few pods... I finally cut the branches with pollen and saved them...

I banged them on a few buds I want to "Seed"....

Then I put the branches loosely in a box... and let them dry...
I needed to move the box later.... and noticed a LOT of pollen coming off the branches.
I grabbed the jar I'll be keeping the stuff in... and banged the branches in it...
a lot of pollen came off.... Then I put the branches in an Ice cream bucket to
save the pollen better as the branches dry better...
Since the box had a bunch of pollen on it...
I went back to my two plants with a brush ( New Acid Brush )
Used the brush to chase the pollen in the box... and put some on the same buds I already
banged the branches on... Just to be sure about getting some seeds...
( About 4 Buds on each Plant )

I could tell the Male and female were the same... Strain wise....

But my cross strain was to a very resilient plant I have...
So that one is an experiment...

Next Day, Looking at the female after I did the pollinating...
I could TELL it "TOOK".... I could also tell the other buds weren't effected...
Even though I had let mother Nature try it first...
.She didn't just infest my females with the male pollen.
even though the Male was 8 ft from one and 12 ft from the other...
So letting one Male grow for pollen shouldn't be that scary...
By the way.... Two other males were pulled the minute they showed their sex...
This was the BEST MATCH to my VERY good looking Female...

The Jar I was going to use to hold the Branches is kind of Big...
I see people keeping the pollen in smaller Vials...
That would be a better way to store the powder...
I've heard it will last a few years... I need to read about that more.

I hope this wasn't off subject... It's a Northern Grow...

  9. Very THICK buds !
    Looks mouth watering...
    .

  10. I'm just worried about the morning dew and mold

  11. I know "Fans" were mentioned...

I've never this tried it on Buds... But many things I want to dry quickly...
I use "Air".... As in a compressor...

Lightly sprayed... It wouldn't harm it... and remove most moister
    the rest would evaporate easier...

Poor man's air.... Blow with a Straw ???
    Just trying to help...
    .

  12. I used the compressor early on mostly on the weekends, but it was mostly the dew in the morning that started wreaking havoc twords the end,
Ha, I could picture the neighbors reacting to me out there with the compressors at 430 am ( I go to work kinda early)

I seemed to do ok, as I was manicuring I went through EVERYTHING with a magnifying glass looking for any sign of the dark matter, and out of everything I pulled about an 1/8 th z out that was questionable , and there is a lot for a single plant
Good looking out on the tips though

  13. So your saying the Plant is "Cut"...
    .

  14. Yep, took her down Saturday , ops pants are still rolling, kinda hijacked the thread, my bad

  15. Here's mine today....

For some reason... a frost doesn't seem very close...
it was feeling like an early winter... Now it's regular Fall weather....

I've got a Mini Micro scope coming...

I'm going to try to get a better look... I don't usually look that close...

But learning from other growers makes me want to see things better...

Some of the Buds I pollinated are looking like they have already started

    making me some seeds...

  18. Ya I don't have the funds for a scope so I'm doing it by the naked eye

i too am worried about frost. I live in the wisconsin area. My bagseed (sativa) plants have been flowering for a little over a month now since August 20th. I fear I will have to chop early. I'm good for the next 2 weeks or so according to the weather channel.
I hear this fall and winter are gonna be above average in temp though, idk
