Are my plants ruined?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by rdiogirl, Sep 1, 2015.

  1. Been battling mites the whole grow. First grow. And i got my genetics from a friend who had them and i didnt know what they were until like week 4. Well its 6 days away from harvest and i saw the first signs of webbing on buds. Very light webbing bit still. Is my whole crop ruined? Do I need to harvest now? Or is it just too late and i wasted time and money on not fixing the problem a long time ago? Ive been spraying every 10 days but it didnt seem to do anything as they keep coming back.fml

  2. What have you been spraying them with?!

  3. If you're 6 days till harvest, I would go ahead and ride it out and harvest what I could. Luckily, I've never had them in my grow and really hope I never do after reading all the horror stories others post about getting and dealing with them. I would go ahead and finish this grow out and then clean my grow room from top to bottom, bomb or do whatever I had to do to make darn sure they were gone before I started another one. I read about people waging war on these little bugs constantly and they (the bugs) win more often than not. If you choose to spray them at this point with something, take the time to really read the directions on the product. Lots of people damage or kill their plants with the treatments for mites because they didn't bother to learn how to use the product before they started with it. Good luck getting them out! TWW

  4. I've been spraying with azomax. It says you can till harvest but I've taken a good 7-10 days in between and I guess I waited too long. Everything looks good, except for the Web on a couple of buds. I thought about vacuuming them off but not sure if they will be smokeable or of I should trash the whole grow? I'd bomb after harvest, but I have my vegging tent in the same room. Not the best idea, but I have no choice as I'm trying to keep it as low key as possible

  5. My vegging plants have a few small signs of mites with the white spots on a couple leaves, but I've been much more proactive with them thus far. Using azomax and alcohol water solution. I mainly want to somehow rid the room of them before I put those into flower. So my two main questions are, are my soon to be harvested buds ruined? Or how do you know that they are past the point of any recovery? And second question is, what do I do to treat my room without killing my vegging plants in the process

  6. That sounds like a shitty "friend" to give you plants that have mites.

  7. Tell me about it.
