Hello Blades, This is the start of my second grow. My first grow was some bag seed I had about 6 plants in a small grow space which ultimately didn't matter since my ex went psycho and destroyed my plants. But anyways, here we go. I have 3 blueberry seeds that I will be growing in soil. I'm using Fox farm ocean forest with the trio nutes. I have added some personal touches to the soil for drainage and such. I will be using my Marshydro 300w which this will be my first time using this as well. It should actually be coming in the mail tomorrow. I was also going to throw some CFLs in there to give more light and different light. I have just today got the seeds in the paper towel and that inside a zip lock bag so I will keep you guys posted as I have updates. Thanks In advance to all the people who will help me along this journey. Pics from my last grow. I got up to 6 weeks in veg and actually just flipped the lights a few days before everything was ruined.
So a kinda exciting morning. I woke up to my seeds sprouted and my light delivered so I got that all set up for now. Now the waiting game.
Day 3: First little guy started popping his head through the dirt, and a second one is closely following. One has no signs yet
Day 4: woke up to all 3 little girls sprouting this morning will post some pics when I get home from work
Good luck with this run man, will be keeping an eye on it see how it goes. I didn't know they made a 300w Mars, is it the older model with the 3w diodes? I thought the smallest they did was a 400w unless you have a green reflector series?
Yeah it's the older style. It's not the Mars II unfortunately. That woulda been great but I'm kinda on a lower budget so I kinda have to make this work. It seems to be putting out an excellent amount of light so far
Yeah I thought so, still a good light no doubt, what distance is it from the little ones at the moment?
Day 8: I came home from work today and noticed one of the plants leaves were kinda wilting a little bit. I'm assuming it is due to heat stress. I haven't gotten a fan in there yet and no exhaust, but it's only about 80 in the room. I am unfortunately not the best financially but I am looking into an exhaust and carbon filter. My plants my last grow didn't show and signs of heat stress though and it was way warmer in the room too. I guess different strains have different environmental needs.
Thank you. I will try watering less and see what that does. I have been watering every other day and the top half inch was usually dry.
Maybe the light is too intense? It could also be the soil is a little too hot for seedlings, I've heard people say that a lot about ocean forest.
