Severe muscle spasms, fed up of it - CBD strain recomendations

    Hi all.

Won't go into too many specifics due to my location and the bs laws.

Essentially I suffered from severe and deep hip pain - at the moment muscle spasms mean I can barely walk. I've smoked no weed for 4 days and hence the muscle spasms.

Just smoke a joint you ask? I could but I have another problem. Severe and borderline manic anxiety. I've been smoking some really strong bought weed lately and it deals with my pain but I suffered a full on anxiety attack 4 days ago (never really had this and I have smoked for nearly 20 years).

Due to much of the above I'm currently growing CBD critical (also some blue cheese). However I'm due to plant some more seeds in about 14-21 days and I am looking for recommendations of other strains that will deal with the severe muscle and joint pain whilst not leave me feeling like I'm about to have a fear driven heart attack. Ideally I am also looking for strain that won't get me too high/stoned (if at all) - just pain relief and anxiety reduction.

Any advice will be gladly listened to.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I've been researching good strains for a friend that is coming out to visit who has MS. The two strains I keep coming across with MS patients and their spasms are Northern Lights and Jack Herer. Good luck finding some relief.

  3. Northern lights was about the only weed you could buy around me many a year ago. Jack herer looks interesting, thanks.

Have ordered 3 royal medic and 3 dance world. Still fit a couple more in I reckon tho :p

  4. Are you sure you want an indica? I just did pretty much what you tried (looking for high CBD bud), but I found it made my joint pain worse sometimes. I don't have issues with anxiety but I do have AS, had it since I was 16 so I know what joint pain feels like.

Have you looked into sativa dom hybrids? I used vortex for 2 years straight and it worked magic on my joints (and I know how muscle spasms feel...not fun). I asked about recommendations a few posts above you but I would highly recommend vortex if you never have tried. I don't have anxiety issues per se, but I never got that embarrassed feeling on the stuff. Just felt good and loose. The way nature intended. [IMG]

  5. Also the load was pretty decent, I got about 5-6 oz of each plant (veg 2 months, about 4 feet tall).

  6. Thank you Sir. I must confess I simply looked for high cbd strains and didnt go as far as breaking it down into sativas and indicas etc. You have opened my eyes though, more research needed me thinks.

    Thanks :)

    Cheers dude!

I ran 3 different high CBD indicas just recently, sub-cools cheesequake, dynamite and grape god by next generation seeds (I don't plan growing these again but might for a small extra plant...if I have space).

If I had to choose it would again be sub-cools stuff, the cheesequake, it didn't produce that heavy of a yeild but it was very good night time smoke (if you have tossing and turning issues in bed), I slept like a log with the stuff. So you will probably like your blue cheese for bed time.

  8. Blue cheese is my fave strain ever. Im planning to blend it with the cbd critical - hopefully reducing the anxiety that I can get with it.

Thanks for the advice again, genuinely appreciated. :)

  9. I find that mixing a high CBD strain with any high THC strain prevents an anxiety attack for me. I'm currently using CBD Critical Cure, and I've used Cannatonic.
I'm not sure what method you use to medicate, but I use a vaporizer and I just keep a small jar to mix weed in for the vaporizer. I've mixed up to four strains at once for varying effects. It helps in my search for other strains to try. I grow my own legally, so I put a lot of research into what to grow. Been growing for six years and I'm just starting to get some strains I really like.

One more suggestion. If you're having a panic attack try sniffing some freshly ground black pepper. It sounds weird, and yes, you'll sneeze, but your anxiety will go away. It works.

  10. Quick side track if I may? I have not had any luck with dry plant vape pens. Have you tried the oil pens? I think they are more effective but I may just have a crummy plant pen.

  11. Mainah im growing critical cure now.

Lollipopped the girls 5 weeks into flower along with my blue cheese.

Smoke past two nights. Wears off fast but a good clean buzz with no anxiety whatsoever. Indeed I was anxious before smoked and it simply melted away.

Maybe its a placebo, but who cates. CBD is the dogz bollox.

  12. Interested to see your results Broken, Im taking a long break from bud at the moment as after 4 years of solid smoking (oz a week) I was hit with anxiety which left me with a bit of depersonalisation. Looking to get back into smoking when I can grow a high cbd strain.

I've looked everywhere for a proper high cbd low thc strain but people that make charlottes web and cannatonic don't sell seeds. Cbd crew have said a few weeks back they are breeding a cbd pheno with like 15% cbd and 1% thc strain to be sold as seeds. Can't wait to hear what they come up with!

Same Kush. Been a twenty bag a day man for years. Nothing but good weed, almost amsterdam good, here so nothing but super high thc.
Im starting some royal medic and dance world today. Thc and cbd levels vary between the two but they offer the best of both worlds.
I know they make savitex by blending high thc and cbd strains.
I know what you mean bout Charlottes web. would cost me more then weed to buy.
Thete is a strain called med gom thatI want to try but can only find auto seeds.

ps at week 7 flower my criticals are smelling dank and look like massuve yields compared to most of my blue cheese plants. Def be growing it again after the royal medic and royal dance world.

  14. Yeah seen the Med Gom 1.0 was considering it as I've done autos before but wanna try this cbd Crew pheno first as it has lower thc so I can see how I am with that.

  15. Yeh well judging of smoking a totally undet developed popcorn bud that was quick dried...its a great strain.
Seem to be two different phenos, the stretchier ones in vedge by far have the most weed and tightest buds coming towards week 8.

Shit photos, they literally taken a minute ago with phone. i think you can guess which are cbd and which blue cheese

  16. Weed Haps I have not tried the oil pens. I have a Solo portable that I really like but it's for flowers and I need something stronger so I may go that route.

  17. CBD should work well for muscle spasms. We cultavate and extract high CBD genetics. We now have numerous ratios from 19-1 up to 30-1. I know a few people who are using it for neuropathy and are pleased. Just make sure it is from flower and not stem or stalk.

  18. I ordered some high CBD, low THC strain seeds from The Vault recently. The strain supposedly has around 7% CBD and 7% THC. I'm very curious about the high CBD aspect but also excited about the low THC part. I'm looking forward to rolling up a jay and enjoying it without getting too blazed.

  19. 7:7 is a nice ratio for functioning I think.
