    Hi, all,
I suffer from a rare iatrogenic condition called ENS ( empty nose syndrome ) . I love MJ [IMG] but she makes my nose feel very dry ( cotton mouth effect ) to a degree greater than the average guy.

I would like to do something like a survey, about how you people deal with cotton mouth efffect . I'm interested in every strategy/trick you can conceive, from the simple mint tea, to herbal remedies, to anything else.

I would really appreciate any suggestion !
    Thank you in advance [IMG]

  2. I just deal with it but the natives used to keep beef jerky in there cheek. Keeps your mouth watering

  3. Great!, I will sure try it [IMG] maybe it moistens the nose too someway ...Keep the suggestions coming !

  4. Anyone has some suggestions ? Believe me I don't want to quit weed [IMG]
On the other hand I must keep an eye on my health... so I would highly appreciate any help!

Honesty ilbiondo, I'm pretty sure there is no way to get rid of cotton mouth, only to relieve it. I've been a cannabis smoker for a long time now and the only thing that helps is sipping on water. Mint or ginger can help. For folks who are taking an oil regime, the best thing to do is take it an hour before you go to bed and have a camel back tube near your mouth so you don't have to keep getting up to sip your water when you're sleepy. A humidifier may help a little too. I'm thinking a swab of coconut oil in the nose may help a little as well.

Thx WeedHaps !. I think that relieving the problem to a decent amount could be acceptable ( for my case ) . Can I ask you how you use ginger ? You make tea ?

Hi again. The health food shops sell ginger candies that are lovely and spicy. I was just thinking of anything that feels good to the mouth that might stimulate saliva. Mint is a good one too. But yes, a ginger tea might be nice. When I say regime, I'm referring to the 60 mils of oil that many folks are taking now to kill cancer. It's intense as you must do it daily until 60mils have been completed. Many folks take it before bed and wake up in a few hours with wicked cotton mouth. That is why I mention having some sort of hydration tube near you so you don't have to constantly flip the light on looking for your water glass or risk spilling while searching for your cup in the dark. I wonder if mentholated salve like Vicks might help? Some people feel it is too strong for their skin but even putting a little spoon full in a jar of boiling hot water next to your bed may bring relief. Hows it going for you anyway?

  9. Maybe try out an edible never know might help.

  10. They all make my mouth dry personally. Edibles, oil, smoke, tincture, spray and most likely the patch would too. I was so surprised the first time I had a lolly-pop and an hour later my mouth was so dry. I don't mind because I know it's medicine. It's here more for my healing than it is for my pleasure. The pleasurable part, to me, is the side effect. A damn fine one too!

  11. Thx WeedHaps for asking you're a nice guy.
It's from about a month that I feel worse, but now I think I'm recovering. It's a bit complex ... I'll pm you if you're interested.
Now I don't smoke at all. The only think I'm tempted to do is make a milkshake with the buds from the plants from my growroom... but I think I will have the same problem anyhow.
Mentholate salve maybe can help... but I will go for sure with something more natural than Vicks [IMG]

Thx otroo, in fact I have seen how eating is quite different from vaporizing or smoking and maybe it will hit my nose differently.Maybe I will try againin the future.
