  1. Since deciding organic was the ONLY way to go I've been doing my readings. Order my teaming with microbes copy and have begun the preparations.
Yesterday I made my own DIY brewer and it seems to be kicking butt.

Such vigorous aeration and agitation. I'm optimistic. Currently that's my first tea attempt ever. It's just:
    2 gal water
    1/2 cup EWC
    1/4 cup of my soil
    2tbs maple syrup.
    I'll bubble it 24hrs
    What do you guys think?
I also got some barley ordered and I'll do a barley SST too.

  2. I have 2 seedlings just sprouted in 16oz cups of my soil.
I'm considering my first watering with this nice tea. As well as inoculating the rest of my soil with it so it's ready when i transplant.

  3. Thanks a ton. I'll dive right in!

  4. Not a problem hope you don't mind me grabbing a chair and going along for the ride

  5. With the tea done at about 30 hrs I diluted 2:1 tea to water and watered my seedlings generously. Then used the rest to inoculate the remaining 1/2 cu ft of soil I have leftover. All is well!
    The brewer worked great.
The seedlings are looking lush green and growing quicker and happier than they ever did in coco.
I'm pleased. I'll do an SST with barley soon and once we have 3 leaf sets I'll do an alfalfa and EWC.
I also got my bioag humix and neptunes fish and seaweed. But not exactly sure how I'll use yet.

  6. Also got my neem oil and Castile soap for some preventative pest treatments. I'm gonna spray once per week.

  7. Today I transplanted right in the nick of time jus. As the tap root began to touch the bottom of the cups into 1 gal pots. Plants look fantastic happy and lush.
I plan on about 4 weeks veg in 1 gal pots then I'll pot up to my 7 gal smart pots and veg a couple more weeks before flipping.

  8. I'm starting a new tea brew tonight. I went with
    2 gal distilled water
    1/2 cup alfalfa meal
    1/2 cup EWC
    2 tbs molasses
Added an aquarium heater to keep me 78 deg. And I'll bubble about 30 hours and same as last time water my babies and spray down my soil I have on standby.

  9. Also did a nice neem oil spray for to keep these damn gnats away.

The green crack is show much more vigor than the white rhino. Hoping she's just a slow starter. Otherwise I'll just pull her.

  11. I'm curious if someone could tell me how to use my ful-Humix in these teas I'm making??

  12. I have ful-power and I just throw it in the tea a few minutes before I apply. You could put it at the beginning or whatever you want. Use the recommended rates printed on the label and you'll be fine. That label knows more about that product than most of the people on this site, lol.

But it doesn't matter really when you add it to your tea.

  13. Thanks! Figured maybe label was a safe bet. Unless the gurus had some secrets lol or input on timing Haha. Thanks again.

Okay so final brew for this run looks like:
    2 gal distilled water
    1/2 cup alfalfa meal
    1/2 cup EWC
    2 tbs molasses
    Bubbles 18 hrs then added
1 TBS neptunes fish and seaweed 2-3-1
    And 1/2 tsp ful-humix
Going to bubble another 12 hrs.
Then dilute with 1 more gal distilled water.

  15. Holy smokes..day after I applied that tea they BLEW up. I'm happy. I'll save that recipe for sure. Seeing growth rates I used to see in coco.

  16. Uh oh. I feel unprepared here. Notice a spike in pest intrusion yesterday. A couple house flies, a few full grown gnats, and even a couple teeny tiny little white fly/moth looking things.
Immediate action required! So I made a nice strong neem oil mix and treated the plants and top of the soil and even spray around the tent a bit. After killing the adults by hand of course. Perhaps it's time to get something for IPM beneath the soil.

  17. I could actually see what looks like a little brown dent in a leaf from where a gnat was munching.

  18. If that is/was a white fly take that thing out as soon as possible. I had some do my crop in one season.
