Symmetrical spots?

  1. The det's:
    6 reg wonder woman (nirvana)
Miracle gro organic potting mix and perlite
    2' 4 bulb t5
Ph is another story. Ive just been watering with dechlorinated tap water. Today I decided to check it with my ph meter that I haven't used in about a month. It said 9.1!!!! I'm hoping my meter is just fuckered because last time I checked my tap it was 5.9. I also dont know about the soil because its miracle gro and they're known to lie. Anyone seen this before and know how to fix it? If anyone knows how to calibrate or check a ph meter with stuff around the house that would be awesome too.

  3. Check tester using vinegar. Distilled white is like 2.4ph. Also that miracle grow is time release. I want to say early burn, but check meter. If the ph is truly 9.1 than come back because that is a fucked number

  4. Foreal! I'll give that a go and let you know. Would it help to flush them with a lot of proper ph'd water then throw a fan on them to dry out a little?

  5. Well first test meter and see if its wacky or thats a true ph reading...if it indeed is that high ph your water and ph your soil mix (out of pot, heheh) and see what your medium is by itself. I personally use a mix of 1/3 peat moss 1/3 perlite and 1/3 top soil. My ph w nutes and straight tap sits at a nice 6.5. Kind of lucked out w tap water being real good from the jump

  6. Peat will lower ph too and also add some nice "fluff" may want to toss some in your medium

  7. Well it measured 3.0 in vinegar so I got it calibrated and my water ph'd right at 6.0. How would I measure the dirt ph? Do i check the runoff? Thanks for the help also, much appreciated

  8. I was trying to keep em in solos but I can throw em in some small pots and mix in some peat. That moisture control is no joke haha

I might have worded it wrong add water to just a cup of your medium now and see what it is unfortunately MG is time release so you will have to wait for a better or truer ph. Inwas going to ask how old pants are. But knock down that PH in solos and when you transfer to a larger pot mix up a new medium and disregard MG. Plenty of good ratios posted try to not use a medium w time release, will screw things up down road.

  10. MG is loaded w potassium (alkaline) thats prob why your so high in the ph. Id try and do my best to fix them in cups, but if they are old enough id move em now to a bigger pot, but seems they arent quite there yet to move.

  11. Nah not yet. Only 6 days out of the ground but it gives me time to wrangle up some better supplies. The only reason I got that soil is because no where around here seems to be selling any gardening soil aside from the time release shit. I'll get on amazon and browse around though since I'm gettin bigger pots

  12. I made the mistake of using this soil in my current grow. She's almost done and looking beautiful, but it was in spite of that soil not because.

  14. Good to see them perky. That soil is wayyy too hot (and shit in general IMO) even for large plants, let alone smaller ones and seedlings. Keep that green thumb green.

Also I see nutes on floor, go easy w them now. For a bit just do a 1/4 of what bottle says, when transplanted to a better medium you will have worked back up to full strength. I personally prob wouldnt do nutes for a week or so, transplant then do the 1/4 and work up
