HI Guys, Firstly i just want to thank everyone for all the valuable information posted in this forum. Before joining grasscity i knew absolutely nothing about growing but after reading through forum posts and grow journals i can truly say i have learned a lot. I have finally decided to start my own grow and i need some help from this wonderful community. So i decided that my first grow will be a PC micro grow using soil. I would like to grow a single plant using LST and ScrOG. The lighting system that i would like to use would be an LED system. The aim of the grow is to have fun, i do not intend growing for the largest harvest even if i get 10g from a plant that's good enough for me. I'm from South Africa so purchasing an LED grow light is going to work out very expensive for me, so i have chosen to DIY. The problem is that in my area COB LEDs are hard to come by and are quite pricey(ZAR/$ exchange rate). Basically what i need to know is which LED system should i build for my grow? I intend to use 1 LED for both grow and veg(if possible) Would it be better to go with red/blue chips or white chips? I would like to use the white chips because i feel it would be easier to setup but if i am wrong please let me know, Any and and all input is greatly welcome.
