20x25 greenhouse allowed in Colorado?

  1. A friend said the max size for a MMJ greenhouse in Colorado is 10x10. Does anyone know if that is true? I sure hope not

  2. I heard size doesn't matter, lol. I read six plants per household or something.

  3. Your county sets the size requirements for non-commercial greenhouses. In Weld Co it is 1200 sq ft. A building permit is needed for larger structures. The maximum plants/household is 12 regardless the greenhouse size.

  4. When it comes to ANY sort of construction, ALWAYS check with the jurisdictions responsible for the area where the building will occur. By example, a County will often be permitted discretion to be more restrictive than a general State-level maximum (although sometimes this is NOT the case) while a HOA/POA may be able to restrict based upon the fact that the residents have the ability (in theory) to have a measure of control over what happens in their community.

The other reason to check is that permitting may be required, especially if there is going to be electricity or water run to the greenhouse (or other structure). The larger a facility, the greater the probability of needing permits over varying types...
