What did your school textbook say about cannabis

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Austria-Hungary, Aug 23, 2015.

  1. I can't remember exactly what mine said but I remember being taught in school that weed has something like 10x the tar of a cigarette. Hey, when I was young and didn't know any better I was tricked by it :p

  2. Didn't read it in any textbooks as far as I remember. I think if it was there it was barebone facts saying IT EXISTS OK but now D.A.R.E....

  3. Drugs Are Really Expensive

  4. Here's a good story haha.. I was in class and we were going over "the side effect of marijuana use" in the book and my buddy in the same class happened to be high as a kite that day and so the teacher starts to say "dry mouth, red eyes.. etc." And my friend is sitting there looking dazed and when the teacher said "dry mouth" he's over there smacking his tongue realizing that he had extreme dry mouth

  5. There wasn't anything in the textbook, but I do remember the teacher saying how weed is 5 times worse for our body than cigs and I was just sitting there smiling knowing that probably isn't true.

  6. I remember in middle school learning about how cannabis was addictive and harmful to your lungs and had 10x the tar of a cigarette etc. *rolls eyes* back in those days I actually believed it too.

  7. we didnt learn about weed AT ALL, they were more concerned with teenagers getting frisky with one another but surprisingly not talking about it meant there was only like 4 weed smokers in those years, everyone else ended up getting their real experience in college.

  8. Nothing at all. In vocational, we had a duo of middle-aged social workers handing out pamphlets that basically were intended to terrify teens away from energy drinks and drugs. They had zero factual knowledge on cannabis, I would have loved to crush them with such, but I didn't have a sufficient understanding of the facts.
