Are homemade edibles financially feasible for the budget-conscious user?

  1. I'm hoping someone can help me out. My "family" and I are regular smokers and consume about 1.5 grams a day between the 3 of us. Our budget allows us to usually purchase a 1/2 oz (14g) every couple of weeks. I would like to try to make some special brownies or other treats, but I'm worried that I will end up consuming like a week's worth of cannabis in a night - and we just can't afford that right now. How many "highs" do you usually get out of a normal batch of, say, a 9x13 pan of brownies, and how much cannabis do you use to make it? I'm not looking to get obliterated or anything, just that nice relaxing high after a long day at work.

  2. It just totally depends on the quality of your cannabis.

  3. Start vaping and save your abv for edibles.

  4. I would suggest a green dragon tincture. There is a recipe I've used many times.

The stickie thread above called Another Tincture thread. Or find another thread called Dragon Lite.

  5. You can get 90 doses from 1/4 ounce, So you get the equivalent of almost 13 highs out of each gram, as opposed to rolling a big one-gram joint and getting high once.

Read up on the cannabis capsules using lecithin and you'll find out how to stretch out your weed and make it last. I'm set until Thanksgiving on my last 7 gram purchase!

  6. homemade edibles are a HUGE cost savings over smoking!

I use 1/8 oz (3.5g) for a tray of brownies if I am sharing them with a group of people with mixed tolerance.

  7. Not only that, but I'll eat one brownie that will last pretty much all day vs smoking every 30 minutes.
But sometimes I just like to switch off.
