    S. Korea fires back dozens of shells after N. Korea's shelling
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3204452/No...
"Today's shelling comes just days after it was announced that tens of thousands of South Korean and US troops will carry out a large-scale military exercise to simulate an all-out attack by North Korea."

Scary stuff, guys. Lets see if this escalates.

  2. They really shelled some speakers...they could have just cut the wires, shot them or whatever. But it being North Korea...of course they shell the speakers...logic

  3. I will care when they start shelling me.

  4. The story begins a few weeks ago when two S. Korean soldiers were injured by a mine exploding in the DMZ

South accuses north and north denies all accusations

South retaliates by placing speakers near the border spewing out propaganda against the North

So north tries to bomb the speakers

  5. This is not the first time they've traded artillery either. Every year when we do the joint military operations with s Korea something like this happens. Ten the north shuts up cause we're in the area an could wipe out all their batteries.

  6. The mine probably did explode on its own as it was probably some old soviet surplus mine or something. Then each side waves their big dicks around to show they mean business then the north will stop when we wave our bigger dick around.
They probably shelled it because it was on the south side and a shell was the only thing to reach it

  7. even though they be at it all that time this is the first time i've heard the North calling for a war. Maybe they are legit this time lol.

Ripples in the pond my friend.

  8. ^ this isn't the first time the north has called for war. They literally spew the rhetoric every single year that they will "bring the end to the south". It's just the young ruler doing what ever y ruler has done before. Nothing to trip on lol

  9. They've threatened but never set a deadline implying that they would go to war. Most likely they are bullshitting, but if they ever do decide to go to war that shit won't affect just the korean peninsula. The North/South Korea situation is one of the last bridges between the Western Democracy vs the Eastern Communism days. If anything was to ever happen the ramifications may be larger then most people think.

I won't lie though, i'm hoping they go to war. It'll be interesting. lol.

Wish I could lob a brick into my neighbor's speakers when they're blasting that juggalo noise in their backyard sometimes...

How long ago was it that N. Korea shelled that island? It was like during the last joint excersizes right? I remember being surprised nothing came of that incident.

  11. ^ yeah 2 marines and 2 civilians were killed by it. They battered the north's firing positions for it.

  12. North Korea gave South an ultimatum. Turn off speakers or be attacked

They didn't comply and nobody attacked

Right now they've given them a second one. Turn off speakers or we'll attack the speakers, within the next few hours

I'm watching BBC and CNN right now hoping for some action

  13. North Korea is pussy. So disappointed.

  14. Agreed. All bark and no bite

They are talking, at least that's a good sign.

I don't think there will be war. South Korea does not want it and North Korea cannot afford it. This is just an opinion, though.

  16. Lol I remember my history teacher in high school saying "you guys watch, the next five years is going to be the Cold War all over again". This was four years ago.

Smart guy but way to gullible to fear mongering.

North Korea isn't going to do shit...

Well he's somewhat right. I mean it ain't out right a cold war like it was in the 60s, but we haven't been on the best terms with russia, and Ukraine's issues is moreless Russia striking back at the US putting a anti-russian gov't in office. Although our relationship is soured neither country will outright state any malice towards the other. They won't go past condemning actions and encroaching on each other's boarders with bombers/fighter jets.
So he wasn't that far off.

Plus 4 years ago was the start of our relationship with Russia deteriorating. After they seen what was going on in Libya they did everything they could to protect Syria(A russian ally) from ending up like Libya. And any political analyst will tell you the tension hasn't been this high since the cold war. But like I said nothing will happen, but there is tension.

North Korea is full of shit though.

  20. A storm in a teacup...

The NK is full of hot air, SK is no better, full of fighting talk because they have 30,000 US troops permanently stationed there.
