Novice grower needs advice

  1. Hello All,

I live in NW Ohio and I'm trying my luck with growing some plants. I fear they are all male but I'd like a second [or more!] opinion before I pull them out.

A bit of history: Around mid March I planted seeds between some trees in hopes they'd grow with some cover from the road, but of course none of them sprouted. One did sprout and is growing but it's growing in a place that I didn't plant the seed. Likely it fell out of my hand and got lucky.
Around mid April I put three or four seeds in a pot of dirt outside. I was curious if the seeds were maybe too old to grow, and after two weeks of no growth I poured bong water into the pot. The next day they sprouted! I left them in the pot for another two or three weeks then finally I planted all three together in a nice sunny spot that still had some cover. I figured they'd die after the move but they are actually thriving. There are three separate plants, but one in front is the largest at about 12-14" tall. The pictures below are from that plant. I can provide more pictures easily if it would help with sexing the plant.
The last two photos in the row are of the single plant which is about 10 feet from the cluster of 3 plants.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi slew! You're right, it's male.

It's sad news but I needed to know.

Do you think they're all males?

  4. Unfortunately, I think they're all males. What shitty luck! I'm sure it's like a kick in the stomach...or something.
For more experienced opinions though, you might check "Loopy LoopersLED Multistrain Madhouse" and "Need Help with Autos?" threads. There are just so many good, knowledgeable people around here.

  5. Thanks Mona for your advice. Oh well. I'll go snip it out and bury it solemnly by the light of the moon.

  6. Can someone please tell me if this is a male or female ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1440017697.495496.jpg

  7. :( my condolences

  8. Gregwilliams, it's hard to tell from that picture. It kinda looks though like it's about to start shooting pistils.

  9. Female will have a single ball and eventually stick out a pistil from it. Male will eventually grow clusters of balls with no pistils.
All the pictures in the op are male.

  10. That's a boy. It would help get your questions answered to start a new thread, even though there's a million "is this a boy?" threads...

  11. Thanks guys 🏽

  12. This is my last plant, a runt that was behind the other boys. This one looks a little different so I'm wondering if it's also a boy.

Hey Slew! How's your plant? It's female....pistils are GOOD news. Congrats! You sure were due for one, lol.

  17. Rasamanloyal, it looks like ur plants need more light. What do you have them in? It also looks like a N deficiency.

  18. Thanks Mona! I figured the last one was a boy too but decided to let it grow thru the season. I figured it would be worth the XP points plus I'd get some fresh seeds. I'm sure glad I left her there.

It's been a cooler week, weather-wise, than usual but supposedly going to get warm again next week. Do you think there might be enough time left this season for her to get to flowering?

    Thanks again!

  19. Slew, I know nothing about outdoor growing. There are a lot of people who can help though. Jerry11165 in organics would be a good start.
I'll ask the folks in the forums I frequent to stop in here, if you're interested.
