I only use dot 4 blinker fluid as well.....also dreading the change from summer to winter air in my tires next month...
DOT-4 is overkill. I dont do any blinker racing I forget - Do you fill your tires with nitrogen in summer or winter?? On a serious note.... What do you all keep your tire pressures at? I run them @ 44PSI (Max PSI) in summer. Better mileage, better performance..... (Milwaukee PD always had me set their squad cars like that in my shop) Drop them to 32 in winter for better traction in snow. Any thoughts?
45 in summer and 35 in winter for the same reason. Driving a 97 K1500. We work on our towns PD cars at our shop as well.
OK - I thought I was crazy lol I had an older lady regularly come in our shop and INSIST we put her tires at 32 PSI because thats what it says on the door jamb (Mid 90's Buick). I tried explaining the higher pressure theory to her, but she would have none of it. Her friggin tires looked like they were always low on air at 32 I always worried that she would have to do an emergency maneuver with marshmallows for tires and kill herself or someone else
Being in a really hot climate I run my tires at 32 year round. Also I'm driving a Civic, I'm afraid of hydroplaning if I run them too hard...it's so light.
