After harvesting my sour brasi this week I went out to my local clone bar here in Denver and picked up a Blue God clone and figured this time I will make a grow journal! I would love some spectators to give me some comments and tips along the way.
So it's been 2 weeks now and has been a rough start so far. I had a pump break down on me about a week in and didn't notice or something and came back to a struggling, bone dry hydroton plant with dying leaves and wilting stem! But after some T.L.C she's looking back on the right track so I started adding a very light dose of nutes (1/4 strength). So let me know what you think and if you have any tips/constructive criticism!!
Week three of veg. If you notice in the pictures all the leaves are three fingered. Is this from genetics? Will it stay like this or effect anything?
three bladed leaves is usually a sign of major stress. It could be genetic but it would be a new one on me. Most likely from the stress it had. When a plant is flowered and revegged it will have growth like that. Low light is another cause, but general stress causes it too
Yeah that makes sense because if you see the first pic I posted you can notice 5 fingered leaves at the bottom set. I was just making sure it's not a problem/genetic due to the fact I'll be making seeds with it. Thanks for all the replies! This community is so helpful!
I agree w/ GG he knows his stuff. This is stress. Reveged clone taken 2.5- 3 weeks into 12/12. Like yours they'll grow all funky and then eventually all the new growth will start growing normal and the plant takes off. I like reveged clones. I'm really interested in the blue God. Glad to see you're growing it. I've yet to try it but I always have god bud in my rotation. She'll snap out if it and be fine. Just give her some TLC.
4 weeks veg. You guys called it! She's got 5 fingers now and all is looking pretty good to me but tell me what you think.
DWC? Looks like a drip system, or, is plant resting over the nutrients, which are being time pumped through the drip ring? Interesting take if it is. Personally, I prefer separate rez, which gives me better observation and control when changing nutes. No need to lift the plant
I'm embarrassed to even say it but... I really have no idea. I honestly thought they were the same things lol I only have one other hydroponic grow under my belt (always did soil). But it is the "general hydroponics water farm" that I picked up for cheap.
A picture of it I found online. Now that I'm looking more things up about it I think it actually is a drip system. Is that right?
Yes with a bubbler to keep the nutes oxygenated between feedings When you're done with this grow, replace the filthy, messy hydroton with polished ornamental stones from Dollar Store You can get a lot of ideas from my DIY Mini- Me F & D tutorial
oh man I'm embarrassed now thinking it was DWC this whole time. Hahaha Thanks for the link/advice I'll definitely read this.
I do have a question about making female pollen using colloidal silver to make feminized seeds. I have been reading about spraying and only turning a single branch into pollen sacks to pollinate the rest of the female flowers. Now if I do that is it best to make pollen with a bottom branch and pollinate the main colas? Or should I make pollen on a main cola and pollinate below? . P.s sorry if this question doesn't make much sense... It's late and I'm medicated. Lol
