Hey guys! So Today I'm starting my first grow box. This is what I have so far. Seeds SEEDS: MEDICANN BLUE MOUNTAIN DURBAN FEMINISED SEEDS Sativa 75%, Indica 25% THC: 20% CBD: 1.0% - 5% PARADISE SEEDS DELAHAZE FEMINISED SEED Sativa 70%, Indica 30% THC: 18% or more HUMBOLDT SEED ORGANISATION PURPLE TRAINWRECK FEMINISED SEEDS 60% Sativa, 40% Indica THC: 20% PARADISE SEEDS NEBULA FEMINISED SEEDS 50% Sativa, 50% Indica THC: 16-20% BIG HEAD SEEDS BIG FREEZE FEMINISED SEEDS Indica Dominant Hybrid THC: 15-20% ORIGINAL SENSIBLE PURE KUSH FEMINISED SEEDS 100% Hindu Kush Indica THC: 22% Est. Indoor Flowering Time: 45 - 55 days 3 Seeds Per Pack $17.82 Wood. Enough to make a 4 foot tall 24" by 24" rectangle. This photo came out messed up a bit. The wood is actually even. It's also upside down. I was working on the bottom but put the pots in there for the photo. I'm planning on making a carbon filter out of this stuff here. I watched a ton of videos and think I have a good grasp on how this should be made. My pots are 9 inches tall and wide.
Thanks gardeningheaven. Im crossing my fingers that it all turns out well. Including when I start to actually grow. I'm going to upload more photos today after I get some more work done.
For my lights, I got two of these. I'm going to get two others for flowering. And I also have a few extra 45w cfls at home I might use later for flowering. These are some of the other things I got
awesome awesome!! be careful which 125 w fixture you buy they have big bulbs .Alot of competitors lie on reviews of each others products .Some people complain the bulb's socket can't support the bulb so be real careful with what you decide .Great choice with the pc fans .Im unsure about your activated carbon picture though .I got an activated carbon scrubber you can buy cheap with a combo purchase includes the inline fan .I paid around $115.00
Hey garden thanks for the info!! I was thinking of making this for my filter https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d3o1AVFdGn4 I have actually modified my plans already but it's still the same basic concept of what I'm trying to accomplish. What do you guys think?
i think if it can be attached to your inline fan .You need it too attach to the inline fan then duct it outside threw a wall floor or ceiling vent
I've been thinking a lot about these pots. I hope I don't get root bound. Any way to prevent that? Like, only flower for 4 weeks or something like that? My pots are about 9" wide and 9" deep I plan on planting 6 inside of my grow space of 29" by 29" (it's 4 feet tall) I'm going to start on solo cups and then move them over to the bigger pots.
You can only grow so big in your first pic you had six pots .It's up to you,but you got to consider the plant's budding space .And light fixture space .Will you LST ..when your plant finishes flowering will the space fit it should work out for you.mostly sativas get sort of tall pot size is what controls the plants size a little more .But can reduce yield .But using bigger and fewer pots reduce chances of getting a female .Because most ppl don't transplant in flowering stage
I wish I could upload video here. So this is what I'm now thinking for my carbon filter. Take these two things and wrap them in a panty hose each. Then I'll put them like this. Notice how the wire fans out a bit. That's so that it ends up nice and tight with the lid and the carbon doesn't spill. I'll then cut the top and make it flush. After the panty hose I'll wrap the outside plastic bin with this carbon activated cover. Just for extra purification (<- is that the word I'm looking for?) Anyway here's another shot. Hope this works!
lookin like a good start. Ill be using close to the same thing for my filter. I need a better CFL so till i get one i cant start.
So today I got more stuff in the mail finally Almost done with my filter. This is what it looks like under the pre filter It's not completely done. I still have to figure out how to close this gap. I tested it and even with the gap it feels great. I also got a few other things in today so I'll be updating again soon.
Just tested it in the bathroom after one of my cats took a fresh one lol the smell was almost human haha. It worked great though. Thinking of making another one and keeping it in here. thats there litter box just below.
I'm letting this glue dry. I thought it could maybe help to put wood glue all around to help seal the box. Next I have to cut my doors because they are off by an inch. After that I'll set up my lights fans filter. Once it's all up and running ill text it over night. See where my temperature is at and then plant. Wish me luck!
used a plastic bag with masking tape and clear tape to make the fan a bit thicker. It was just a bit smaller than the opening in the filter looks good now. Fits well.
I like your box man. I'm actually in the process of making one with similar dimensions. Your carbon filter looks pretty sweet too. Only thing is I wouldn't put that many plants in there. I'd do like 4.
