I'm done. Going to add something to help close the gap on the doors tomorrow and then I'm planting [ attachment=1858026:ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1440477707.554362.jpg]
Next time I make one i'll document step by step but If anyone has any questions, just ask. Here's the back.
I might not plant as I noticed one of my cfls flicker. I'm going to order two from Amazon and return one of these. This made me think that I should always have a backup lightbulb. Unless it's the housing. I'm going see if I can figure it out.
Looking good! Can't wait to see what happens! May I ask, how big are those ballasts width wise and length?
They are 12x20 so two of them fit just right. I messed up though because I should have put the filter a bit more in the center so it doesn't get in the way of the lights. But now one of my chains leans on the filter. That's the reflection. It's hard to get a good shot and I'm afraid of dropping my phone in there while trying to get the photo lol anyway because of this oversight my lamps will not be even no matter what I do. It's not a big deal but I just now know for next time.
They are just now starting to feel a little dry so I think we are going to spray the cups with a bit of distilled water as the directions on the soil says.
I have to try and make it a bit cooler in here. It's currently at about 96F hopefully a fan will do the trick. Any ideas?
Fans are a must, mount one or two at the bottom, so air can be blown up through your plants and carry heat from the lights away from them and towards your exhaust. Also, the plants quickly use up the CO2 around they're leaves, disturbing the air brings fresh CO2 into their "uptake zone". I remember going half on a dime sack
Hey thanks. I was actually thinking of cutting those light panels a bit so there is a gap in the middle for air. I was also thinking of making small holes so the heat and vent up through those holes. I'll decide tomorrow.
