Spider Mites

  1. I so hate these buggers...
I used rubbing alcohol on the leaves to kill majority and their precious eggs.
The rubbing alcohol actually increased bud size on my plant.
Hey, maybe my plant now has an Sativa/Alcohol kick to it?
ha ha, since i could actually use Vodka.
I love alcohol (downer) with a (upper) 25% THC Sativa
    Makes you feel confident.

Anyways, any injuries to this plant seemed to make the bud site grow larger and more potent for some odd reason,
so spider mites actually helped believe it or not.

Well im chopping in soon as 10 days
and concerned if the buggers will kill my plant the 2 weeks hang drying before trimming ??

I hate the hay smell/taste after a wet trim (Chlorophyll buds).
So trimming dry is my only solution.

So will the buggers kill my plant in the 2 weeks of hang drying ??

    hoping for the best.

    Thanks.

  2. I think the buggers are all deceased...
the 50/50 iso rubbing alcohol has possibly annihilated the buggers.

Im actually trying to give them an opportunity to thrive

    and they're freaking pathetic!

I think they're majority all dead,

I spotted one and didn't kill the bugger

I chose to let it live simply because id like more to appear.

I get a rush killing the buggers,

and im so trying to give them a chance.

I'll be harvesting in soon as 10 days and to be safe
I am going to wipe down all leaves with Iso rubbing alcohol solution before the chop
to ensure no webbing as the plant dries.

    Awesome forum,
but experience trumps any answer you could possibly receive.

    Thanks again. lol.

  3. It's good that you got rid of them (hopefully) I just discovered spider mites an hour ago!

Black spider mites, I'm gonna start the extermination shortly

I'm quite concerned as you can imagine : / first time I've encountered them, hopefully the last :O

Good luck with your mite genocide :)

  4. sounds like you got it under control. lowering moisture levels late-flower can definitely bulk up buds. Would love to see the harvest.

  5. I'm confused. I trim before I hang to dry......and everyone I know does.

  6.

  7. because of spider mites I'm reconsidering what to use on the floor. Right now there are large plastic bags taped together and the wood holding the foam board up is screwed down into it. There is carpet underneath. Would a white tarp be better? Especially if I drape it up the walls to contain any infestation?
