Little late starting journal but here is the basic info until new camera comes in mail.

    Line up

    Dark Star (TH Seed, seed)
Neville's Haze (Five Zero Trees Cut)
Northern Lights x Big Bud (World of Seeds, seed)

    Rascal's OG Kush (B's cut)
    Pennywise (TGA, seed)
Strawberry Blue (World of Seeds, seed)
    Yumboldt 47 (#3 cut)

    Medium

I have two different organic mixes I am using that are mostly just add water with mid season top off and bloom boost. The other is a neutral mix for testing out a custom feed schedule based off of Botanicare Kind. I designed this mix to be super low cost which I project only about $50-$60 total (nutrients, soil, grow bag, and water) per plant. Indoor with shorter cycles was costing me about $75 per plant /w electricity included. Will go into more detail on mixes in follow up posts.

    Organic Mix # 2

    4 x 65 gal Boxes
    /w Yumboldt 47

    Rascal's OG Kush
    Strawbery Blue
    NLxBB

    4 x 15 gal Smart Pot
    /w Darkstar

    Pennywise x3

    Organic Mix # 3

    1 x 20 gal Geopot
    /w Neville's Haze

Neutral Mix /w Custom Botanicare Kind schedule

    2 x 10 gal Root Pouch
    /w Rascal's OG Kush x2

I will add some crappy cell phone pics from earlier in season soon and pulled a canopy pic from IP camera for now. The netting is at 8' from ground level.

  6. Got a better camera today, it is an older Sony Cybershot 12mp. I tried a quick macro and was not happy with it but other then that seems to take decent photos and maybe will get better macros after playing with it some.

I got some overall pics and multiples of each of the girls which I will get up over the afternoon.

Will start out with a quick tour.

This is facing south going in between my four 65 gallon boxes.
    081015a.JPG

This is center of the boxes, I have a 600w hung in the middle for those grey days coming in fall to top off the sun.
    081015b.JPG

Upward look in center, compared to pic from about 3 weeks ago it has really filled out.

Facing east with Northern light big bud on left and Yumboldt 47 on the right. At the end you can see the 3 pennywise.
    081015f.JPG

Facing west with Rascal's OG on the left and Strawberry Blue on the right. On this side is the Darkstar with two OGs in 10 gallons on both sides. Have my step ladder hidden down here to reach the tops.
    081015g.JPG

Facing south Left Yumboldt 47 and right Rascal's OG. Then Aztec tobacco along the wall.
    081015h.JPG

This is my IP camera for monitoring the canopy once it fills out. May lower it down 12" to get a better angle. Once I get a video recording server set up will be able to record time lapse of flower. Would like to replace the camera with a day/night version when i have the cash.
    081015i.JPG

I had a fan failure in spring and have been just burning up box fans for now, looking to replace it with a 18" 12v DC fan powered off a battery that will be topped off with solar.
    081015j.JPG

Will get pictures up of each girl soon.

  7. This is one of my Rascal's OG (#2) in 10 gallon pot on a custom feed schedule of Botanicare Kind. Last night she got 20ml Base with 60 ml Bloom in # gallons of water. This is a little high on the Bloom but I am wanting to encourage flower. The days are still a little long, about 14 hours, but she is root bound and wants to blossom. I have had these cuts from beginning of year and have kept them pruned back to encourage a low bush with many colas. I have had some mites this year but have managed to keep them in check, they for the most part went after my Yumboldt 47. Once we have another cloudy day everything will get a fresh coat of neem and rosemary and then another 3k lady bugs released a few days later.

  9. Here we have my final OG (#1). This girl is sitting in a 65 gallon box in organic soil, she is a little wider at the hips then her sisters but overall not much taller. She is not as bound up at the roots so still picking up noticeable height daily. I still need to add some more netting on the front half of the greenhouse before she gets to much bigger. Still need to also finish boxing her in with 1x4s, have only done one side, to help me get the canopy spread out some and let more light in.

  10. This is my Darkstar, freebie seed from attitude, she is in a 15 gallon pot with my organic #2 mix. She is pretty slender was put out the same time as my Strawberry Blue and Northern Lights X Big Bud. She Jumped up initially pretty quick and has sense slowed down so compared to the other two. She is coming in just shy of the 8' mark and expect her to be well in the netting in the next week. Had a lower branch get snagged last night which I noticed today, hopefully it heals up because it is maybe 3' long and in a good location for the evening sun. With some luck she will be heavier on the CBD side of things when she finishes out but for now will have to wait and see.

This is my Strawberry Blue, had a rough time germing her only 1 of 3 seeds made it. She started out slow as one can see in previous pictures but she has really come along. Years ago I have grown this strain and have always liked its fruity flavor and cerebral, uplifting high her buds give. I have pretty lofty expectations for her given my past relationship with some of her sisters. She like the the Northern Lights X Big Bud had no problem brushing off the mite outbreak I had earlier. The only damage she really has received was a split stalk when I was boxing her in with supports. I immediately treated it with tree seal and wrapped it with tape and have minimized the damage as seen in the pictures. Overall the impact was minor, I have had some 100+ days in the greenhouse with no signs of wilting past the split.

The tube going into the side is for venting the under canopy rainy day light. It is about head height where it enters the jungle for size comparison.

  12. The northern Lights X Big Bud she is one strong girl. Currently she has about a 7 foot spread and is encroaching on the canopy space of the girls around her. She has had me worried, even though she is under the ridge of greenhouse she has only another 3 feet of room from the netting up. I have been pulling her back trying to keep her in check and it has lead to a split stalk. The stalk was first damaged about a month ago by my brother and has sense then proceeded to split some more from all the training I have had to do. The damage has had multiple coats of tree seal to prevent anything getting in and she does not seem to care one bit about the damage. Right now she has about a 2" diameter stalk and a nice candelabra pattern to her branching. At first she was displaying some odd branching patterns such as 3 branches at one node then 4 at the following node. I was hoping to see more of this but from here out she has been growing normal. Snother odd thing about her is the long slender leaves although she is supposed to be pretty much a pure indica. This girl could get really big given more room and depending on how she finishes out I may do a repeat of her giving here the majority of the greenhouse next year. Something along the lines of 12'x12' canopy space with 300-400 gallons of dirt in a low profile wood box like my 65s. I would keep her trained flat only a few feet off the ground before letting her go up, I like to have my girls with a little weight in the hips.

    Her base
    081015-NLBBa.JPG

The damaged stalk treated with tree seal. The four way node branching happened here and so I decided to top it off to make these my main branches.
    081015-NLBBb.JPG

For now the center is cleared to let light in but I am training some secondary branches back into the center.
    081015-NLBBc.JPG

I top dressed this not long ago with some organic #3 mix and the roots have filled the 4 inches of new medium in no time.

  13. My Yumbold 47 aka spider mite hotel. She has been a little abused by the former tenets but continues to keep going despite those little fuckers. I considered chopping her down awhile back but Yumboldt 47 has been a favorite of mine for many years. Will mist her good tonight and hope that we have some cloudy days coming up so I can give her a fresh coat of azamax and rosemary. Then follow up after a few days with some fresh lady bugs, it would be nice if they would stop taking a ride on the oscillating fan, it has not really worked out to well for them. With the days we have been having all summer it has made it hard to apply neem without burning leaves. Earlier on I could pull a shade cloth over everything but now that my girls have gotten past the 8' mark it is no longer possible to close it.

This is my best stalk this year.
    081015-Y47a.JPG

Still some room in the canopy.

The mid section has had many branches removed from mite damage.

  14. Next I have 3 Pennywise in 15 gallon smart pots filled with Organic mix #2. They are numbered 1 starting at north side to 3 at south side. They are my latest germed seeds failed to write date on cup but it was early June when they were planted out. As of right now they are about 5-6 feet tall from top of soil. I am not topping these because I am looking for the best one out of them, as of right now it is looking like #2 but waiting til flower to make my final guess. Once finished will compare THC/CBD ratio to determine the keeper. They are tucked in the east wall so get mostly morning to mid day sun and with the northern towering over them it limits their evenings.

  15. My last addition to the greenhouse was this Neville's Haze. I was given the cut pretty late into the season but still expect some decent performance out of her. She is in a 20 gallon Geopot with Organic mix #3 (yes I know I have not mentioned what the mixes are but will get to it soon). I have her located in my south eastern corner which is probably the second best spot in the house which will ensure a good amount of sun for her to catch up. If she was not so buried in there I would bring her out to the sunniest part of the yard for awhile but it would be next to impossible for me to pull that 20gal through my tunnels underneath the canopy let alone get it back in there in a month. She just had the top half removed to give her a nice fat bottom end but she should spring right up.

Only 2 pics not much to see yet.

  16. Beyond the girls have a few other things hanging out in here.

First off is my Mapacho aka Aztec Tobacco (Nicotiana rustica). It is much higher in nicotine 9-11% then Virginia tobacco 1-3% and contains a high level of beta-carbolines. I have some in individual 3 gal pots and then 3 in two 10gal pots, both with organic mix #3. This is my first time growing them so just kinds playing out by feel.

Two 10 gal in front of my OG

The 3 gal infront of the Yumboldt

    081015-Tb.JPG

Next I have my Cappi vines, yes they look small but they are actually almost 6 months old. I had placed them outside in the sun and it messed them up so back in they went under the girls. I have 3 varieties yellow, red and black plus an unknown one I forgot to tag which I believe is another yellow. Which would be good because yesterday the ducks got into my greenhouse and nomed my yellow to just a stick (2nd pic in front) I am hoping it will send out some more leaves.

    081015-Cb.JPG

I do have other stuff in here but do not have any pictures ready to load.

  17. Quick canopy pic from ip cam. I have not moved camera since the first pic in thread, not much to see from here anymore. Will get my digital out and get some pics to post tonight. My furthest along are the OGs in 10 gals on syn. nutrients been trying to estimate age from old pics of strain but would guess somewhere in the 3-4wk range of flower.

  18. Not sure if anyone really looks at this stuff but let the picture chaos commence.

The other two girls are the most advanced in flower right now because of being rootbound and also from greater control over food.

This pic shows how I keep the leafs off the plastic on the sides by hanging up some deer netting along walls. It has to be pulled pretty tight but will help prevent fungus from the leafs sitting against the plastic. Also #3

My little Neville's Haze, wish I got this cut earlier in the year.
