hey so I'm sick and have been using an apple pipe but it burns my throat hella bad.sooo I figured I'll make a nice lil ghetto bong so I can cool the smoke with ice.. But idk if my bong is safe I'm a bit of a health nut so I'm scared to try it :/ I found a socket like thing to use as a bowl which I think is brass but I'm not sure. can u check it out and tell me if it seems ok?? I used a hot glue gun to secure the downstem (pen) and electrical tape to tape the bowl to the pen

if you are really looking for stealth, throw that crap away and buy a oney, small glass pipe that's 1/3 the size of a pencil.. that way you wont boil your brain with burning plastic, glass, and metal fumes
No, that's how you get cystic fibrosis by inhaling plastic particles coming from hot smoke being pulled through the plastic pen cartridge. Using it once wouldn't do too much harm but extended use would cause damage to your throat and lungs. Or you can go to a local head shop and spend $5 on a cheap bowl if you're that strapped for cash

I've been smoking weed for like 2 months and I've always rolled and smoked joints but I see you talking about glass pipes. Are they safe and more healthy? And is the high as good as from a joint?
In general, glass pieces will get you high with less weed. And if you go thru a lot of bud every week, it adds up fast
At least use a gatorade bottle and don't use hit glue around areas were smoke will be going right? But gatorade bottle us way better cus the mouth piece us bigger and the plastic is a bit better than water bottle grade
If your really a health nut you should get a vape for your lungs. I'd rather use an apple than that bong man glue and plastic never go well together with smoking, go down to your gas station and get a $5 metal pipe if you can't get glass. If you can't get annnnnnnnything from gas stations or headshops just get a paper towel tube or toilet paper tube and push that socket in the top at one end and you'll have yourself a steamroller. This did bring back memories though.
I like to consider myself a homemade bong master, had to do that shit pre good bong days. When it comes to making homemade bongs always aim for a metal/glass bowl and down stem. The issue i see with your homemade bong is that the pen tube is very close to where the weed will be burning and it could start to melt the plastic/release fumes. Like for grav bongs, those small ratchet pieces heat up after one hit and then you can start to taste the gross plastic taste instead of that good good.
It's ok to use without plastic melting but after a while you should at least buy a bowl and glass downstem online. (Rather just buy an acrylic bong)The socket is ok honestly, people hype up metal being bad but you will be fine if I remember my college physics class right andwhy would stores be selling metal pipes and metal bowl pieces. Make sure you are lighting the bowl only obviously and don't use it again if you notice your downstem is melting which is kind of unlikely if you are only lighting the bowl. Smoke is not hot to whoever said that, and it's certainly not at a temperature that would cause plastic to melt. Not sure why people are talking about how bad the tape and glue is when it is not going to be near a heat source unless your super stoned and retarded as shit. I am guilty of using a water bottle bong and used a door stopper as a bowl and downstem for a few months when I broke my bong once. Also did this when I was a little kid for half the school year then I would make a new one haha good times.
