I had to answer that in a Poli Sci class once for a "My Political Fit" survey. I got conservative democrat. On a baseball diamond that would be left center. I'd hit it.
Now that I think about it, so am I -- being the 24th great-grandson of King Henry II of England. Being of royal blood, I may just vie for the throne. Fuck Prince Charles.
Liberal on most things: euthanasia, abortion, gay marriage, climate change, secularism. Somewhat republican on other things: guns is the only thing I can think of. A side note, I recently learned that legalizing marijuana is both a liberal and conservative thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only explanation is that both sides are split. Makes sense though, because they say about 50% are for legalization. Therefore, chances are a good that a significant portion of each party supports it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The thing is that a lot of politicians support the idea behind closed doors, they don't want to be attacked as being soft on crime or anything along those lines. I think a lot of politicians are on the fence because being anti or pro weed isn't very politically beneficial because you're gonna annoy one side of the argument either way. This is why I think most politician disregard it as a non serious issue because they don't want to have to answer tough questions about marijuana policy.
I only looked up a few links on it though, so don't quote me on it. Many say liberal (open to change), many say both, a few say conservative (less gov). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The labels don't really mean anything, nor do the party names. George Wallace, 1966: "There's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrat and Republican parties." Still true. The only thing modern "conservatives" want to conserve is big government.
I want total control administrated by the truly impartial gaze of a machine. Zero room for corruption, no way to hide, step out of line and bam instantaneous incarceration. Justice as a function, especially in regards to the political process. What I am proposing is not an omnipotent robotic master simply removing the human element from the penal system and creating an environment that could be essentially crime free. I mean you can't remove violence from mans nature but you could ensure justice for victims. Of course this does mean the end of privacy, but were having that over every day. I know dangerous ideas, but proply ware we are heading anyways. Sent from my LG-P870 using Tapatalk
It will. It's playing out just like Gay Marriage. State by state will legalize it til the supreme court finally has to decide whether they are gonna legalize it everywhere on a federal level. After all i'm sure most of us here started smoking before it was even a thought that weed would be legal in 2 states let alone at all.
probly. Whether we like it or not, we will become pets/ giant human zoo to the machine takeover -Yuri
I don't identify fully with any of the dozen-odd parties in Norway, but I do vote for the Pirate Party
Haha, good luck defining, and agreeing on, what kind of government anybody has. If you look up the definitions of all the assorted labels you won't learn much. Communist China is also a republic.
PWHPP...People Who Hate People Party. We'd expand and take over but we're having a bit of a problem organizing
