  1. theft is evil...

Socialism is only.OK if taxes are voluntary

  2. don't cherry pick one part of my post, why support capitalism over a social democracy? Also, how do you make up for the lost revenue if tax wasn't a thing?

  3. taxation is not theft by definition, tax is built into the conduct of business.

  4. you are a member of society, why should you be able to not contribute to societies benefit? Assuming taxes and their implementation were fair. Why should you not contribute to a Medicare program if people are needing it? What if you need Medicare?

  5. I am anan individual

why should you be able to not contribute to societies benefit?
    </blockquote>You shouldn't obviously

I never claimed such a thing

<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote' > Assuming taxes and their implementation were fair. Why should you not contribute to a Medicare program if people are needing it? What if you need Medicare?
    </blockquote>
You mean health insurance? Which already existed and was 100% voluntary?

    -Yuri

  6. Technically you are right . Sales tax is voluntary because sales are voluntary.

Income tax is voluntary because working is voluntary.

Technically you can choose not to work and buy things, and instead just die

    Seriously dude?

  7. Socialism is indeed evil

  8. It is true that the rich in America get lots of tax breaks. But it also true the rich in America pay most of the taxes. If you really look into it the rich in the US make huge contributions world wide. Much bigger than you and I.

  9. A Socialist society cannot correctly allocate resources. You then get surpluses of less needed items and shortages of needed items. Money plays a huge roll in a healthy economy, it won't work without it. The problem with are crony capitalism is our money isn't real anymore, and has been high jacked and counterfeit for decades now. The taxes you pay quarterly or annually are just the surface, the obvious. The real hidden tax right now is inflation. This process is robbing you of your time your effort your work. Its the reason our money continues to devalue, the reason you loss purchasing power if you save. Its The reason we all have been forced to be speculators and invest as to try and protect against these forces. We don't want more money....we eant better purchasing power which is had by a hard money, a real money.
All through history until 1965 a ounce of silver represented a dollar. This dollar bought more and more year by year as society produced more stuff that competed for the same amount of money, this is how purchasing power increases. As of right now a real dollar a silver dollar is worth around 15 greenbacks. A real silver dime is worth 1.50 greenbacks. A silver quarter is 3.75, now think of what you could by with a real quarter right now. A gallon of gas, a half gallon of milk, a loaf of bread. A sandwich, six pack of pop.....
I urge people to learn about money and how it naturally evolves in a productive society. How it allocates resources, frees up time through the division of labor. And leads to art and science and such as a full time occupation, which is not possible without a abundance of necessities.
Its all about money. .....all of it

  10. Bingo! Unfortunately, a nation's prosperity is intimately linked to the efficient allocation of scarce resources.

But, the socialism of modern Europe isn't the socialism of Marx and the post-WW2 Soviets and Chinese. Still, there always needs to be a balance between insufficient economic oversight and burdensome, inefficient bureaucratic regulatory involvement. Lack of oversight produces scenarios that can represent systemic risk to the nation's economy (e.g. think 2008 Lehman Brothers, AIG, "too big to fail", etc).

But if we are going to err on one side or the other, I'd much rather live and function in a society that is loose and uninvolved economically than a socialist State with all its gazillions of laws and regulations and restrictions, typically applied in helter-skelter, inconsistent fashion as it serves the aspirations of whatever bunch of power mongers happen to be running the show at the time.

Yeah but i don't want socialism

I just want my tax dollars to go to people instead of big banks/corporations.

I think that's got a more realistic shot of being a reality then a full on Socialist/Libertarian society

  12. The only way to insure that your money is spent on things you want is owning it. If you give up ownership of it or have it taken by force backed by the majority you lose control over your money. Remember money represents your time and production or value to mankind. If you lose control of your money yoy lose control of your time, you become a slave of the masses.

Further more it promotes division, and creates people who want to force others to their own philosophies.

Like we all know and feel, some or most if not all of our tax money isn't being spent on what we want. Be it warfare or welfare or whatever. This creates the division. People disagreeing on how its spent. Then even the people who agree will disagree on it philosophically which leads to controls and lose of freedoms. For instance medicare, if im paying for Medicare I don't want to cover someone who smokes tobacco. I think if you get Obama care you cant smoke cigs. I myself don't smoke and will probably be paying more for a smokers insurance than my own. Which also takes away from self ownership and self responsibilities. All kinds of moral hazards exist. Government in all forms is evil. Government is defined as a body that has monopoly rights of force over a given area. This definition gits every and all forms of governments. Its the common factor.

  14. I do give money (and time) to the people because I realized how silly it was to bitch about the lack of change while sitting comfy at a desk smoking weed. Everybody wants change but nobody's willing to change themselves.

  15. You don't. As an anarchist I don't believe in government or any kind of coercive central planning therefore those things wouldn't need finding because they shouldn't exist.

  16. The only thing I voluntarily give money to on a regular basis is Wikipedia. Knowledge is power

  17. going to which people?

Have ever disagreed with anyone before? Are there tax funded programs you don't use?

    You aren't making sense.

If you steal from the masses and redistribute, SOMEONE is going to get skrewed.

You are just mad its you right now

    -Yuri

  18. Well the big reason this wouldn't work is that neither a large corporation or a small business is going to want to produce goods in exchange for money that can only be spent in the United States.

  19. It can be exchanged for "real dollars". The requirement is having 1,000,000 secondaries to exchange them for real dollars of the same value

  20. All of them.

    Yes...yes!

    Interesting analysis

Steal? I just think we should use the fake money we print and give it to people instead of big banks/Corporations? Who said anything about stealing? Look at the stimulus package, that money came from thin air quite literally. Didn't need to rob anybody for it, they just gave the printers a boost of power.

Hey if it makes you feel any better, how about everybody gets a huge tax break? talking no taxes at all for an entire year? I'm sure that gives you woody just thinking about. The principle is the same either way for me, whether we print the fake money, or give people a break on their taxes, who cares?

Nah, I work hard for my money. Go to school, doing things the way I want. Just would like to see people get money opposed to a bailout for evil companies, banks, corporations. I know people aren't all good, and probably would be stupid with the money, but that would be an awesome day in America to see people get a check from the government for once. Opposed to a bill.
