Alright guys, I am from the NoVA/DC area. I have already started my outdoor grow for this year. I will be posting pics of my progress so far in groups of pics taken by date. I am at 38.5N latitude.
Got some quick updates. Plant 2 seems to have started flowering a couple weeks before Plant 1. 1st up is overall pic of plant 1. Then we have a closeup of plant 1's flowering process.
Now for the better looking plant. Plant 2 is starting to look awesome. Plant 2 Overall; Plant 2 Upper1; Plant 2 Upper2; Plant 2 Upper3;
Plant's are doing amazing now. Had a tiny bit of powdery mildew on Plant 2. I have sprayed a mix of baking soda and water on the couple of leaves affected. Seems to have worked since the PM has not spread at all & it has actually receded growth on the affected leaves. Did some trimming to improve air circulation. Weather is getting cooler this week. Hopefully this will get the plant to swell with thc over the next weeks. I am having a ton of fun learning what works and what doesn't. It is great watching all my hard work finally paying off. Plant 1 looks like it is in Week 3 of flowering; Plant 2 looks like it is in Week 5 of flowering. Anyone else agree or not? Plant 1 Overall 9-6-15; Plant 1 Upper 9-6-15; Plant 2 Overall 9-10-15; Plant 2 Upper 9-6-15; Plant 2 Upper 9-10-15; Plant 2 Upper 2 9-10-15;
Plant_2 had a bud that needed to be harvested. It broke at the Y in the middle. I tried to tape it with a splint but it didn't work well and fell down. Thankfully it should still be pretty good smoke. Week 7 or so of flowering. Lots of cyrstals. Weighed 110g wet; thinking maybe 1/2oz to 3/4oz dried and cured. It is some really dense buds. The other main bud of plant 2 is probably 1.5x's larger than this one bud.
New pics I was expecting to harvest plant2 today but have decided to wait a little longer. Hope this east coast hurricane doesn't hit here or I will be forced to harvest a little early. If it gets really bad; I will harvest plant2 and use some 4ft tall tomato cages & wood stakes for plant1. Have been going out and shaking the plants to get any excess water off.
