  1. I just moved to Hawaii and have only been here a week.

We are expected to get hit with a hurricane around this Wednesday

    Sounds like fun

  2. Irene and Sandy were my first experiences with Hurricanes. Irene was weak sauce, but sandy was somethin else Lol. Both times I was out and about minutes before the storm took effect, chillin with the wind blowing.

Twas up on a bridge(couple days after even though the wind was still ridiculous) walking on the walk path and I jumped up and i swear i was in the air for an extra second or 2 Lol. Made sure my feet were planted on the ground after that.

No damage for me though, just a 5 day power outage that I thought was insane til I heard how long other people's power was out.

It's an interesting thing especially when you've never had to worry about em.

  3. I've been reading up on that. Hurricane Guillermo. Hopefully it will further weaken and downgrade to a tropical storm ::crossing fingers::

    haha ?? Its no funny

  8. I live on Maui and we get at least a few watches/warnings each year. We are right in the middle of hurricane season and due for a big one; however, most of the time the weather weakens quite a bit by the time it reaches us. Wind and rain are a given but I doubt we will see any real adverse effects.

  9. I hope so. I can't even imagine what it would be like to live in Hawaii.

  10. so far it feels like living anywhere else. Just more expensive

  11. yeah but I've only lived in a desert environment. That would be completely different for me. :p

  12. Don't they have very strict marijuana laws in Hawaii? Also way to expensive for me to live there.

  13. the laws are the same as nevada as far as I know so no change for me

    It decriminalized aand medically legal

  15. Well anyways I grew up in Louisiana and was there for hurricane Katrina and Rita. Katrina didn't affect us bad because I lived in Lake Charles. However Rita stayed a category 5 and fucked up the whole area. They can be very scary and unpredictable. Like waiting 8 to 12 hours if a tree will smash through the roof or something come flying through the window.
