Plane Ride: transfering water bong from Germany to California

    I have been living in Germany for 2 years and am flying back to Los Angeles in a few days.
    I want to put my bong in my check in suitcase, but i am wondering if this is a no-go and or can lead to repercussions.


    i really want to bring it back with me, sentimental value and all with DEUTSCHLAND written across it. It is also glass and small, nothing special or big.



    if anyone has done this, it would be great for some advice.

    it must be extremely clean, like immaculate. Its just glass at that point. If its brand new they can't do anything I'm pretty sure. I never ran into problems but I've only flown domestic. I do know a few people who have taken glass to and from EU no problems though.

    Wash it with acetone and it's back to being a fully legal tobacco tool.

    I would rather try shipping it. Not my idea of a good time puckering across the world hoping I cleaned my bong good enough.

    COMPLETELY clean it and ship it..
    TSA is bad enough without an extra excuse to probe you... Literally.

    Depending on price point: get a new one the US, give/sell the one to an german friend.
