Soon I am going to buy my first bong and I would prefer a smaller one, but I was wondering if small bongs hit less than large 18-20 inches bong? (I'm talking about the high) 10-12 inches interest me, so do you have inexpensive recomendations?
my daily hitter is about 10in tall, and imo its the perfect size. you can milk it as hard as you want, the high is in HOW you take the hit, not how big of a bong you hit. if you so chose you could pull the slide mid-rip and then put it back down and continue ripping it. so to answer the title of this thread, in this case, size does not matter. but quality of your bong will make a huge difference. i'd suggest glass on glass, meaning there's no rubber grommets or anything between the pieces. happy tokin'.
that'll definitely get you the smoothest, least resistance on the hit, meaning you won't have to pull as hard to get the smoke through. i know for myself i prefer the smoke going through water twice, so i usually either have an ashcatcher on there or a percolator in the tube. but the drag is quite noticeable with either, over a straight tube. and you'll see some with 2-3-4 percolators, and my only thought is "good luck cleaning that." my oil rig with a barrel perc takes me an hour or so to clean with minor buildup on it. and oil residue is a lot easier to clean than bong resin.
I'd go on the smaller side. but length isn't necessarily size. Get a sturdy one atleast 5mm thick if you want it to last.
mine is probably a foot or less but it has a nice little zong near the base that i believe makes all the difference. mine has a perc too. i also have an itty-bitty ~5in one that i love. it's all about your preference. am i the only one who uses HOT water instead of cold water + ice? hot water keeps your bong cleaner. ((
