CodeName47s Afghan Kush and Beyond

  1. What's up blades? Welcome to my second grow. I decided to start a new thread after all, fresh start fresh thread.
Join me on my journey while growing out two Afghan Kush Fem seeds from World of Seeds.

Seeds were Germinated using the paper towel in plastic bag method and a heating pad underneath.
I then put the Seeds in rooting plugs a little over 24 hrs later when tap roots started to show.
Today I put the plugs into Red cups with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, I will keep these two plants as moms, and flower their clones.

As soon as they are ready I will take clones and use a DIY bubble cloner to clone, and verify sex. These are FEM seeds but I still want to verify before committing to a long veg cycle. I had a lot of complications with my first grow that I feel comfortable and confident will not happen this time around.

Here is a link to my First grow of Blue Dream and Girl Scout Cookies in case you missed it.

  6. I'm in. Should be s good show!

  7. In like Flinn brohamm

  8. Welcome along steel!
    Loop my dude! Welcome!

I picked up a couple more air stones today going to be running 3 Medium stones in each bucket this go instead of just 2. Will see how that goes. I don't see it making too big of a difference as I didn't have any issues with air last round but can't hurt.

I also went and made a new bubble cloner, my last one was clear and I ended up having some algae issues to deal with. I'll probably also wrap this one in foil tape just for some added light proofing. I put a flashlight inside and there is some obvious light leakage. But it was the darkest tote I could find.

Pretty simple construction, nothing fancy. Used a drill and 3" wood hole saw (dril in clock-wise to get the bit started, then reverse it for a cleaner cut) on a plastic storage tote. Super simple and it works I don't put anything over the clones for humidity they seem to shoot roots just fine without it in about 10 days or so.

  10. Nice loop, are you having any slime issues? Those totes look like they leak light like mine.

  11. No, they don't leak any light that I know of, and I don't have any slime, but I use hydrogaurd and it works wonders for this in my dwc setup

  12. Nice, I just checked the hydroguard out, I may have to introduce it to this grow. Reviews are almost all 5/5 positive, Cool man thanks.

  13. I'm with loop on the hydroguard as well. I won't do a run without it. That stuff is fantastic!

  14. Well shit I guess that settles it! lol Looks like another trip to the Hydro store in my near future. Thanks guys, you're great.

  15. Much love bro!

hell yea boy, be great minds think alike sir

Your great bro, lol, also, cannazyme, I use that for any thing else that survives. Basically it's a beneficial enzyme that breaks down dead and only dead root matter... It basically eats everything much faster than the algea can.... It breaks down paper, like a piece of paper over night. Just a thought,.. It's kinda expensive though, but, with it I've noticed very healthy roots white and vibrant. Without it, I get ph swings and brownish slime still, even with hydrogaurd, on my roots and hoses and whatnots, lol.. whatnots.. sorry moving on.. Added benefit and the only reason why I won't stop, temp.. res temps.. Basically res temps can safely stay at 76 77 degrees, without problems. As long as you have enough oxygen in the water from a good pump, and clean stone, No problems grow basically.. Lastly, and the only draw back aside from cost is the ratio of it to a gallon.. 9 mils, per Gallon.. quite a bit really..

Hydrogaurd as an example, 2 mils per gallon
    Later guys, headed home now

  16. I dont either 😁

  17. Go through amazon or ebay its much cheaper 😁

  18. I do, I love me some ebay man, lol..

  19. Guilty... I hydroguard also.
