Hey guys, just got my card and i had a few questions! I'm planning on doing an aero/nft system but seeds are expensive and my veg plants can't go over 12" tall (mothers are out of the question) .... i plan on having 3 small tables, 3, weeks apart (harvest about every 3.5 weeks) and there no dispensary anywhere near me so buying clones isn't an option either. so i was wondering.... if i bought enough seeds for the first table and i germinated/vegged each plant to 1ft, could i take a clone off each plant and root those clones? will it affect the yield on the clone/clonee? also, how long does it usually take for a seed to reach 1ft? about 3weeks from the day you start germinating right? in other words, how long would it take from the day i drop the seed in a cup to germinate till the day the plant is 1ft and i can start 12/12?... i plant on using northern lights... thank you, all input is appreciated
First off the time it takes a plant to reach one foot in height depends totally on the amount of light being used, nutrients, minerals, secondary minerals, fresh air. The list goes on and on but typically if done correctly my India strain took about a month to grow into a healthy one foot plant. While it's not advisable to take clones from a one month old plant it can be done. Also a clone is the exact replica of the mother plant so if she is only a month old then the clones will act like a one month old plant.
