I'm new to led's and cloning. I've got a tent with 3 going now. Have a small closet that I'd like to take the clones into veg then to flower while keeping a mom. I'm not a fan of cfl anymore and I don't want to go the hid route. Already have that. your gonna need the cfl's for right after you cut the clones, you don't want too strong of lighting on freshly cut clones while theyre trying to root.
3 are under a 60w cfl now. But I still want an led for ease of use Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
129w of led isnt going to kill them as long as you have enough space to move the light away from the plants. If you are really worried start with the lights a good 2 feet or so above the plants then move them down once your clones root. I root all of mine under 20k lumens of t5ho lighting at about foot away and have no issues. Once I get roots I drop it to about 6 inches away. I would be wary of leaning too hard on an LED light that only costs $66.00. The old saying...."You get what you pay for," comes to mind here. A lot of people use those Mars lights and like them...and they do have some lights that look like they are pretty good quality, but those also come at a hefty price. I went to their website just to check their products out and their larger lights were pretty expensive. My point here is don't skimp on your equipment or you'll end up buying it twice. From what I've been told, the life on those lights isn't that long. They brag about being made in China and we all know what kind of quality that gets us. LOL Cheap is very rarely what you want to base your grow off of. But hey, your grow, your money, your decision. Hope it works out well for you! TWW
hey TWW....i went ahead and ordred that marshydro 300w led. i'm use to having to do things again, and thats fine. i thought i'd try it out. never used led before. if it works for at least 1 run, great. if not oh well. if i like it i'll upgrade to a bad ass one. but i know....cheap isnt always good. lol thanks mate
