Tincturing for the First Time

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by visionofcody, Jul 30, 2015.

  1. I was a long time indulger but haven't in 10-ish years. Now it's legal. Woo-hoo.

Long story short, I have a bottle of Kronic HD Indica Tonic, which is a tincture. I'm curious

    1. What is a good starting dose for this product? I've read everything from "one or two drops under the tongue and you'll be couch locked" to "I put a dropperful in my water and felt nothing". My instinct is to start very gradually because you can't unswallow it :)
    2. Is "under the tongue" preferable to putting it in a drink? Obviously, trying to conserve and optimize.
    3. What is a likely onset for this? Again, I ask because I've read everything from 15 minutes to the product's labeling which says "onset of effects may be delayed by two hours".

Just curious...I imagine the answer to some of this "it depends on the person" but I'd like to hear experiences.

    Thanks!

  2. Check out PsychedelicSams thread "Another Tincture..." It's pinned toward the top of the edibles section.
Sublingual will come on quicker. In a drink will take a bit longer. Like you said it all depends on the person. Post in PSams thread for the best feedback, though he'll probably find you here. Do you have any idea of the strength? What is the base liquid for the tincture?

  3. "Top Shelf Cannabis" from BBB Farms, inc. 1ml = 6.7mg THC.

Ingredients: Non-GMO vegetable glycerin, indica cannabis, sunflower lecithin

  4. If your tolerance is high the tincture may be too weak to get you very high. Sublingual is fastest and alcohol-bases can give a slight tingly or burning sensation. This is a bit on how they're made http://medicalmarijuana.com/experts/expert/title.cfm?artID=833
You may want to learn to make your own if the store brands aren't working for you
