Going on Probation

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Indyca, Jul 29, 2015.

  1. I've been smoking (and dabbing) consistently for 5 or 6 years now. Everyday, multiple times a day (with a couple tolerance breaks here and there.) my trial is tomorrow, and it will most likely end up with at least 6 months of probation. Does anybody have tips for quitting cold turkey? I sure do love my mary jane, but I'm not willing to sacrifice more of my life than what I already have to the flawed justice system. I've got a vape mod with just water vapor, anybody else got tips for me?

  2. Do butt clinching exercises every time you want to smoke. Total win win.

If jail time is not enough to convince you to not smoke then nothing will.

  3. It's all in your head bro. Just be optimistic and look at it as a 6 month tolerance break and that you'll be high as hell the next time you smoke.

  4. Quit cold turkey. Every time you get the urge to toke, get up and do something. Literally anything that involves moving -- especially exercise. Works like a charm.

Protip: Don't smoke cigs, it will NOT help. You may think it will but replacing one habit with a much worse one is just... well, dumb.

    Good luck! [IMG]

  5. look its all in your head I just was on probation for two years and i startd smoking since I was 13 and been on probation 3 times for yeara at a time and never had a hot test. Just keep busy and stay away from your toking buddies. Get a hobby or a job if you dont have one you will be fine. I dont know were your from but probation in pa is easy just so what's told of you and dont catch a charge or you wil go back to jail. Dont want to scare you but its tje tuth :)

  6. Just don't do it while youre on it dude. I was on it for 5 years and I quit for a while. Just tell yourself you're taking a long tbreak.

  7. 6 months aint that bad, just stick to legal substances. youll be fine brother.

  8. They offered a deal and you went to trial instead...you're not getting probation bro. On the bright side, you can get all the drugs you want in the slammer.

  9. Get ready for your dreams to go bat shit crazy!

  10. That is an understatement!

  11. take hallucinogens they dont test for those [IMG]

  12. If you can find it try lsd. Only way they can test it is by taping your spinal fluid. They wont do it bc first off it could paralize you or make you have back problems for the rest of your life and is hella costly

  13. I would say try to incorporate some other ritual in place of smoking, to me that was the weirdest part of stopping. But after a week at best you won't feel weird about not smoking in a ritualistic sense, at least that's how I felt.

  14. I was on probation for a year. They did not drug test back in them days, so I smoked like a fiend. Today, they may drug test you and throw you in a profit prison just for smoking weed. Yes, the system is flawed and needs to be corrected.

My friend was on probation once. At the end, when he had a month left, his P.O told him that they were going to stop testing him since his probation was basically over. I told him it was a trick, but he decided to smoke anyway. Long story short, he smoked, failed the drug test, and ran from the law. He made it about six months before he got pulled over two states away and they ran his drivers license, he had a warrant. In the end, he was one month away from freedom, and he threw it away and spent 9 months in prison instead. Don't make the mistake he did. That is the only advice I have to offer.

EDIT: The first time you fail a drug test, or two, depending on your county's policies, you will just be sent to some stupid 12 step class, and they may add a month or two to your probation period. But the third time you fail the test, you're fucked. If you get six months, I recommend you do something productive with your free time. Join a gym or something, get shredded, and fuck bitches.

  16. Find something to keep you busy a lot of my homies went on probation last year and still are on it and they just found hobbies to do
    Or eat shrooms

  17. Update: my trial was continued for 90 days, so I won't be going on probation until December 10th. However, I have decided to test my self control and quit anyways. So far, I'm a week and a half without smoking, by my own decision.

To everybody that said it's all in your head, y'all are soooo right. Once I got past the first day, it was a piece of cake.

Here's my next question... How long does it take for somebody with an active lifestyle and relatively average BMI to clean out their system? I have another drug test coming up for an acceptance into an apprenticeship program, and it will only be 25 days from the day I quit. I don't HAVE to take it by November first, but I get a rebate for taking it before that date. Should I hold off, and forget about the rebate? Or will I be able to make it by then? (i do plan on doing a home test to make sure, but are those just as sensitive as a med clinic?)

  18. Home test is not as sensitive but should give you an idea on where you stand. Congrats all the way around. Most people say 30 days is the average to pee clean but like I said that's the average. Drink lots and lots of water.

Best of luck let us know how it turns out.

  19. As far as the rebate if it hurts you if you test positive then you might want to wait if there is little upside. If no penalty then I would. Really depends on if it gets you in trouble or you just don't get a rebate.
