What up everybody and welcome to Case's Corner REDUX!

So as some of you know I just moved so we are starting from scratch. Fornow, I am limiting myself to a 63” (width) x 24” (depth) x 90” (height) closetuntil I figure out what is going on with the medical program laws in my state.

Right now I am vegging a few strains out in pheno hunt round 1.

As soon as I can top them all and get a mother rooted they will begoing into flower. Can't wait as I've only got a little over 2g of bud left off theshit I brought with me when I moved. Going to be a rough (or maybe superproductive) next couple of months.

    7-28_Group.jpg

I will have some more details on things in the coming posts. Stay tuned, especially for the build, not exactly sure where I am going with that one yet.

    Peace!

    THE PLAN

The plan is to run a perpetual garden with 5 totes (3 in flower, 1 inveg, 1 in rest) harvesting one tote every 2-4 weeks. Each tote will be a SOG with spacingin the 3-6 inch range, we shall see; I initially wanted to hit 8oz/month, but Idown sized the plan and now I'm aiming for 4-6 oz/month. So if I had 6hypothetical strains that flowered in 42 days, the schedule would look likethis:

    Planting sequence1.jpg

    Planting sequence2.jpg

    Planting sequence3.jpg

I will probably be rooting for two weeks then vegging to 12-18 inchesdepending on stretch in flower.

    Peace!

  3. THE LIGHT

Yes I have joined the cult. Praise be AMARE. Got my hands on two of the new SolarEclipse220s

    2015-07-28 13.42.10.jpg

I'm a little behind on my AMARE SolarEclipse220 pre-order unboxingpost, I was out of town that week. So what can I say that has not already beensaid? Not much; as far as the technical specs go, @pHarmerXxLEDxX hit the nailon the head and I will both link and quote his post in a second.

I cannot speak to how these plants grow buds, but if they are anythinglike their brothers and sisters in the AMARE family (which they are… justbetter) we are in for a treat! After using the lights for 2 days I couldhowever summarize this entire post in one word: quality.

When I received the two units, I was expecting a very heavy box. Not thecase. The plain brown box weighed less than my single Mars2 700.

Opening the box was a pleasant surprise, this shit is plug and play. Packagingwas efficient and comprehensive, no damage to any of the lights or hardware. Eachunits comes with everything you need. Mounting hardware, check; hanging roperatchets, check; daisy chain cord, check; brackets to tie the lights together, check. A one stop purchase.

    2015-07-28 13.40.22.jpg

    2015-07-28 13.41.28.jpg

I was a little hesitant that there was only 1 cooling fan for such alarge unit. No need. The sides blow out cold air even though my ambient tempsin the room are 77-80. With ventilation off and closet door shut for an hour, temps rose to 86. When I hold my hand under the unit, you can feel some heat, but nothing like holding your hand under the Mars2 or even the BlackStar240(135w draw on old school 3w chips).

The light spectrum / intensity is pretty customizable, you canindependently control the COBs and free standing LEDs. My girls are a littleyoung for this light so going from cfl to this with the 90degree lenses is alittle too much as of now, though they are getting stronger each day. I runthem 8hrs no COB, 8hr full power, and 6hr recovery (closet not light proof atall yet) @30”. I could take the lenses off to lower intensity directly underunit, but I'm lazy and still unpacking; don't want to risk misplacing them orsome shit.

    Thats all for now folks!

If you want to see the old setup you can check out the old journals. 2x2 closet space, diy everything but light.

By All means WW, take a seat. There should be an empty chair next to the bong.

    Bong in chairt.jpg

...shit I just wasted so much time working on that, hahaha [IMG]

  9. Oh heyyyyy

You grow some fine shrubbery good sir

  10. Well if it aint Mr. Phalanx. Welcome, welcome. Take a seat, enjoy the show. Should be a good one once things are said and done.Mass. doesn't have a plant limit do they? Really want to run 12+ plants per tote. but that would mean 36 plants flowering and 12 "mature" plants in veg at any given time. Just don't want to have to fuck with screens and whatnot.

  11. No plant limit. Just limit of 10oz usable meds

  12. Subbed up bro!! Sorry it tool so long, app was all screwy and I just got back on. Hope all has been well for you and yours bro! Garden is looking stellar as always!!!!

Welcome aboard pHarmer! Glad you found your way over here.

Did a little transplanting yesterday, thought I would show the little system I use. I might have seen it on Irons thread, not sure who the credit goes out to. Anyhow, makes taking care of lots of solo cups very easy.

Works same as a SIP. Get a solo cup >> add 1/2 c perlite >> fill to top with soil >> drop in your bean or clone or whatever >> place solo cups in about 1/2 - 1" of water >> forget about it

When it is time to transplant, massage the perlite a bit it'll pop right out

    7-29_Transplant (1).jpg

Gently brush off the perlite >> if you have some VAM (which I do not currently) toss that on all them exposed roots and plop it in your new soil.

    7-29_Transplant (2).jpg

Moved the two Chocolope and three Northern Lights into the 10gal no-till from the GFBA grow (yes I moved soil across the country, shits too good to give up).

I put one chocolope on either edge of the pot and will train them across to the other one, then maybe back again, depending on how much stretch we get.

The NL are looking better, they were the plants really not digging the lenses on the COBs, everyone else was praying (especially the wizz fizz, started praying the same day I stuck em under)

I ditched the lenses on the COBs for now. Everyone is happy now. The NL were looking a little yellow and droopy but are getting darker and perkier every time I look in there.

    Thats all for now, Peace!

  14. Awesome! I will be pre-ordering an 880 configuration from Amare myself. Subbed up!

  15. Welcome aboard man [IMG]

That 880 will be fuckign nuts! I'm at max capacity for light for the next 1-2 years. Can't say I could complain about that... Now wanting a bigger space, thats a whole nother story.

  16. ^^^ This shouldn't be there but it wont go away

Anyhow, the girls in solo cups are looking pretty haggard at the moment, some necrosis and pretty much yellow top to bottom. SO I decided to let em dry up a bit to (in theory) air prune the roots in the perlite and get some more up in the soil. The tops are looking greener and the new growth looks healthier though it really is about time to transplant.

Everybody got a little MBT with aloe and silica this afternoon; feels good to do a little something extra for em from time to time.

Man it is tough just looking at an empty space with some plants tucked in the corner. Cant wait to get this train up to speed. Never had that problem in the 2x2; It always looked full. I think Tomorrow I will top em all at the 3rd node and get some potential moms started, as soon as we see roots itll be off to the races for these gals in the totes.

I ordered a dnail heat press for making heat extracted oil. It will be tough to watch it sit idle until this first batch of plants finishes.

  17. I know what you mean about having empty space my greenhouse has so much empty height to it I need to grow some treeeees!

Are you at all worries about over crowding in the tote with topping? I was thinking that you would flower them early untopped to minimize veg time per round but I know also you don't have everything else set up yet and those plants are regs right?

NICE on the dnail rosin press I can't wait to see you use that thing it's still on pre order first generation right? I've been thinking about buying a t shirt press it's basically the same thing but with only one plate heated and also like half to 2/3 the price-ish range

Also hell yeah to the MBT + aloe & silica i made the same a couple days ago. Plants always look so happy after :p

  18. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuudge, just wrote a long response then hit something and deleted it. Oh well, has to happen every so often, glad I got this one out of the way. Lets try again, shall we.

I am worried about overcrowding, lol. But I think I can handle it, cant be worse than a screen. A little thinning here, LST there, and we have a full canopy. I guess the other two options would be wait for them to get big enough to take a side branch cutting or lollipop the 4-6 branches after topping and just have a couple of colas scattered throughout. Hmmmm... Decisions, decisions...

I'm so stoked to rock the d-nail press. I hear ya on the price though. I think it was a solid choice to buy now at the pre-order price, shit is only going to get more expensive until supply and demand even out. Even so I hear ya on the price, I chickened out after putting it in my shopping cart 3 times before I pulled the trigger. But on the grand scheme of oil setups, its not so bad really (think closed loop BHO or CO2). I don't sell product, nor do I recommend anyone do anything not in accordance with state laws, but if one were dispensing oil legally, you would make your money back so quick with this press.

I also really like that you have precision heat control over both plates so you really dial it in for each strain. This girl gets 200, that gal likes 180, and this chick takes it at 220.

And girls are loving life right now, gotta love watching em after a good MBT.

  19. What up everybody!

Took cuttings off the gals that were tall enough. The WizzFizz and Desert Diesel were too short to take a solid cutting. Maybe once these gals root.

I used peat plugs just because I had some laying around, first time using them so we will see what happens. None have flopped over on me yet so thats a good sign, lol. Stressful when you are taking the top of the plant for your clone. Reminds me of the Eminem song from 8 Mile "you only get one chance to blow, something something something something, once in a lifetime, yo"

The clone juice I used was:
    1gal water
1.5 tsp Kelp meal bubbled for 6 hours
a little less than 1/4 tsp 200x aloe
    1 tsp protekt

    8-4 clone loacting.jpg

    8-4_Clone (1).jpg

    8-4_Clone (2).jpg

Gave a little of the clone juice to the girls as well, the gals in the tote are getting green real fast.

    The Tote

    8-5_Group.jpg

NL - Lots of tops, Dingus, we may see some of that overcrowding, lol.

    8-5_NL.jpg

Chocolope - raising the roof. These gals have some vigor for sure!

    8-5_Chocolope (2).jpg

    8-5_Chocolope (1).jpg

Side note; any ideas on what to call that GFBAx(NLxS), thats just too many letters to type each time

    Peace!

  20. I hate it when that happens! It used to happen a lot on my old phone but I recently upgraded and hasn't happened yet now.

Once you weed (hehe) out any males you'll have more space. I'm sure you won't have to put in too much effort to get a full canopy. I've heard the chocolope is a stretcher!

I can't wait to see you rock that rosin press it really is the ideal hash oil production method IMO. No need for lots of expensive equipment or chemicals and hullabaloo how much more simple could it get than heat and pressure pressing! Plus it's solventless of the highest quality no adulterated taste or anything.

The precision heat plates should be useful but I wonder how much benefit you get from both sides being heated and not just one? Also you can control the pressure amount too I think.

Plants are looking fab i hope all your clones root! I wanna do the kelp soak and aloe and silica method sometime but I've been doing just cuttings in cups of water changed daily lately since I don't need to clone a whole bunch. Also i need more rooter plugs haha. Keep up the greatness case!!
