Poll for Experienced Smokers

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by chay_kb, Jul 29, 2015.

  1. Hi guys,

I have a question for all my fellow smokers out there. My question is: Why do you smoke weed? For what reason? What does it do for you?

I'm really trying to get more ideas on what weed does for people, not just myself.

I guess I'll list why I smoke weed.

When I first began smoking I was young, so I suppose I was doing it just to try it. Once I began to smoke regularly, I really feel my life has changed. I'm hoping this isn't gonna sound fried, but I really think weed has changed my life. I feel as though I'm a much more open minded person and that I view things differently than most people. I suppose thats why I'm here, on grasscity. I feel like weed allows me to think about things differently and create ideas or solutions that I wouldn't have come up with sober. Additionally, I feel as though I am much more in tune with myself, my surroundings, and life in general because I'm able to understand things on another level.

    Does anyone feel like this?

I mean, I also smoke weed because there's nothing better than unwinding and relaxing at the end of the day to some nice loud pack :)

Another thought that kind of goes along with this:
*This was a high thought I had once*
I feel like us stoners could really probably come up with some shit. Like, answers to the world and stuff. There are so many things left unanswered, so many things we don't have solutions to. I feel like us who smoke weed could really come up with some innovative shit because we're A- thinking so much deeper into (whatever topic) and B- thinking completely outside the box, thinking of things that you wouldn't normally come up with if you weren't baked. (as long as we're asking the right questions**)

    Is it just me?

    I appreciate any & all feedback :D

  2. Ive smoked since I was 15. The only medicinal benefits I receive from it is that it helps me with my insomnia and ADHD. It slows my thought process down a little bit to where I can think more clearly.

I really just like to get high though.

  3. Life is boring, people are mostly self serving and even though they act like your buddy have their own selfish agenda which means they will throw you under the bus if it helps them. Weed is the highlight of my day, because it wont let me down like people have, the negative thoughts go out the window, my mind becomes more at ease, I can laugh more, the music flows through me, I develop an outside looking in perspective rather than getting all caught up in my emotions and acting irrational.

  4. Did I miss the poll? Gallup dragged me here when I <del>asked for</del> Goo<span style="color: #ffff00;"><span style="color: #1f497d;"><span style="color: rgb(79, 129, 189);">g<span style="color: rgb(192, 145, 0);">l<span style="color: rgb(192, 80, 77);">e<span style="color: rgb(155, 187, 89);">d</span></span></span></span></span></span> "where the weeds at"

  5. Well my friend in 6th grade got me smoking, At the time I just wanted to try it and see what its like being high. Now I do it for a couple different reasons. I have depression and anti-depressants hasn't done shit for me. I've realized that weed generally just makes me a happier person. I also have trouble sleeping a lot of nights so a bong rip before bed really helps too lol. Sometimes I smoke just out of boredom, and a lot of other times I smoke just to have a good time.

  6. I completely agree, couldnt have said it better

  7. Music music and more music Have you ever just lost yourself in a track the moment the bass hits and just travels through your entire being.

  8. Only when the work is done and I can really chill out.

Always adds a dimension to playing music or "visioning" out the next project.

Can't do daily or wake and bake.....makes me lazy as fuck.
