Yellowing tips on seedlings?

  1. New grower here! Would appreciate some advice. I have a feeling it's probabley either too much/close lights or overwatering. I'm running 8 x 23w CFLs (183 watts). I noticed a couple of my seedings today have some yellow tips. They are a couple days old and still in jiffy peat pellets at this point.

  2. over watering...shake out some of the water

  3. Thanks for the reply! I'll try to get rid of any excess water. I have them in a seedling dome, so I'll also leave the top off that for a couple hours to see if that dries them up a bit.

  4. So my biggest seedling's lowest set have completely went yellow with brown edges [IMG] I haven't added any other water... still think it's overwatering? The pellets do still feel damp but not dripping when squeezed or anything.

    Any ideas?

I had problems like this outdoors related to heat stress. Tips of my leaves turned white.

    Another possibility is poor drainage.
