How to clear ash catcher bowl??? (See pic)

    Ok guys, so I just bought this ash catcher bowl head for my bong but I don't think I'm using it right. I put just a little bit of water in it just touching the inside stem, my problem is thought when I'm ready to take my hit and pull the bowl head up some smoke still stays in the ash catcher and I sometimes have to clear my bong then put the bowl head back on then pull it through then clear it again which is pretty annoying is there something I'm doing wrong or is this just bound to be a problem with not having a separate bowl head and ash catcher piece

    you just got a shitty type of ash catcher man those things are terrible your doin everything right

    Try getting one with less slanted arm

    Look for a 90 degree a/c. I had one like yours and it worked way better without water in it.
