Can anyone recommend me a good vaporiser?

  1. Alright man in this one (CG420);

Right now I've created an idea in my head of what I will do in the next few weeks. I am saving enough money to buy an ounce of dank and a very reliable and cost-affordable vaporiser. I live in Australia, so I will have to order it online and would like to know from first hand experience what are some of the best vaporisers for a man on a budget.

I also have some questions about vaporisers. If you take the time to answer them you're a legend.
    1. Do vaporisers save weed consumption?
    2. Do vaporisers smell like weed when you smoke?
    3. Can I use my vaporiser sneakily without people knowing I'm smoking?
    4. Do vaporisers get you higher than glass?
    5. How much weed can a vaporiser hold?
    6. Is it worth smoking mids out of vaporisers or just dank?
    7. Do vaporisers require any cleaning or changing of parts and how long does it usually last?

Thanks for taking the time to read my thread and have a great day :)

  2. 1. Do vaporizers save weed consumption?
    When used correctly, yes.
    2. Do vaporizers smell like weed when you smoke?
Depends on the model vaporizer, but yes, there will be a slight smell. Some vaporizer are smelly some are very discreet, but either way it will smell less than smoking.
    3. Can I use my vaporizer sneakily without people knowing I'm smoking?

    Depending on the model, yes.
    4. Do vaporizers get you higher than glass?

Every person is different, so your mileage may vary. Personally, yes because I get more out of my weed gram for gram in a vaporizer.
    5. How much weed can a vaporizer hold?

Extremely broad question, so again depends on the model. Anywhere from .1g to 1g.
    6. Is it worth smoking mids out of vaporizers or just dank?

Mids will work fine, but dank will get you higher. Same concept when smoking - dank simply gets your higher, but mids will do the job.
    7. Do vaporizers require any cleaning or changing of parts and how long does it usually last?

Depends on model. Some require extensive cleaning, some require close to none.

If you could provide me with the criteria that you are mostly looking for when buying your vape I can lead you in the correct direction towards a model. Your price range will also greatly determine what model is best for you.

  3. I'm looking to spend a maximum of $150
Thanks for taking the time to reply

  4. Get an arizer solo. Bowl packs range from 0.05-0.2g. The smell is gone within 20 minutes. The only cleaning needed is to clean the glass stems after a while.

  5. For a portable vaporizer in your price range I'd recommend one of the Flowermate vaporizers or an Arizer Solo. The Flowermate is smaller than the Solo but the Solo compensates for this with it's vapor quality.

If your looking for a desktop vaporizer i'd suggest the Arizer V-Tower or the Da Buddha if you're willing to dish out a little more money.

  6. I can personally reccomend the arizer solo and the pax by ploom vaporizers. I've owned both and never had any problems. Pax is stealthier, but I like the wider range of temperature on the Solo.

I don't like the Magic Flight Launch Box- however that may be creditable to my poor first experience with them using my friends earlier model and getting a lungful of combusted vaped weed

  7. I was looking for a vaporizer too, I bought the Arizer Solo about 4 weeks ago. I'm really loving it so far and I would definitely recommend it.

  8. the extreme Q is a vary good entry level vape
I also have some questions about vaporisers. If you take the time to answer them you're a legend.
    1. Do vaporisers save weed consumption? for the most part yes. though if you leave the heating element on you might end up cooking the weed.

    2. Do vaporisers smell like weed when you smoke? a bit but they kind of smell more like burnt popcorn with a slight weedy smell to them
    3. Can I use my vaporiser sneakily without people knowing I'm smoking? that depends how sneaky are you
    4. Do vaporisers get you higher than glass? no it's about the same "level" but they feel different
    5. How much weed can a vaporiser hold? depends on the vape but generally quite a bit i have never measured the exact amount for my bowl but i could probably fit a gram in one of the vape bowls it would be kinda tight though
    6. Is it worth smoking mids out of vaporisers or just dank? this would be based on preference ill use anything in my vape
    7. Do vaporisers require any cleaning or changing of parts and how long does it usually last? yes they do need to be cleaned but not nearly as often as like a bong and are generally pretty easy to learn how to clean by looking up a youtube video.

if you are going to vape remember to grind up the bud before also when packing the bowl for the vape you want it to be some what lose to allow proper airflow

  9. I give my vote to the amazing Arizer Solo. I would answer your other questions but others already did a good job at doing so.

  10. I have a Pax 2 I'm selling, great vape but just not something I'm into, much prefer to combust my herbs. Id suggest getting that one, PM me if you have any questions about it

Did you find the vape you were looking for yet or did your research turn up empty? i have done plenty of research prior to deciding on a desktop unit ** the Arizer Extreme Q 2.0 ** which i purchased two years ago and then just completed about a month of research and reviews/forums before deciding again on the ** Arizer Air **. The main reason behind these purchases is the ceramic heating element instead of wire like a toaster, build quality and pricing.

The Ceramic Heating plays a big role in smell and combustion. As for the smell, from my research(i could be wrong but feel its accurate), weed combusts at 207 degrees celsius. so the moment you start going over that your now combusting which will lead to more of a smell. I get milky clouds between 185 -196 degrees celsius and don't tend to leave that range. I go home and visit my family for christmas and set the vape up while we sit around the fireplace, my folks hate weed and hate the smell of it but let me smoke it in front of them because they don't smell anything. If you buy a vape no point in combustion other wise your buying an overly expensive electric pipe.

I purchased both my units with ridiculous discounts through browsing the web then emailing company trying to price match + beat others price and you'll be surprised at how much you'll save: Arizer Extreme Q 2.0 166.00$(boxing day sale plus 20% price match) CDN and Arizer Air 179.00 (Random sale plus 10% price match) + a bunch of free goodies. Locally things were over priced with no fun options like free grinder, smell proof baggies, Arizer accessories. Consider using tools like shopbot.com or shopbot.ca also.

Also as far as pricing goes the Extremem Q at the time was the only desktop that was dual purpose hose and bag which is the best thing ever! The only other option was the volcano which everyone knows is fucken expensive. Being 1/5 the price with forced air and build quality the unit is a winner for indoor smoking! The air is coming today so i can't say anything yet. What i can say is nothing had is said about it online and its smaller then the solo with the same ceramic heating element. Some say they swapped out the Volcano for the Arizer Air.

hopefully this will be helpful in your search if not completed already.

  12. This post has been so helpful! I'm in the market for a vape that can reliably produce ABV, but I've been lost on where to start. Ya'll gave me a great jumping off point. Thanks!
