Sublimator Review (Read before you buy one)

  1. Hi guys. I recently took the financial gamble and spent $864 on a sublimator nail v4. Purchased in July of 2015. The reason why I say it was a gamble was because all I found on reviews were people saying it's amazing but nothing useful about the high given or anything like that. That's why I'm here.

When purchased there were three models available, the Apollo, dab master, and nail v4. The Apollo is slightly narrower than the other models so it is better with plant matter. It has holes on the top which allows for dabbing but it can be a hassle because the holes are kinda small. The dab master is well the dab master. It's basically a big e nail set up to the sublimator atomizer. It's also works with bud but the set up makes it best for dabs. Then the model I have. The nail v4, is a great middle ground. It works amazing with herb but can also take dabs with it. When you put the carb cap on it milks like a charm.

Now a review on the high given.

The way I explain it is not that the sublimator gets you more high. It gives a different high. There's smoking, vapeing, then sublimating. The high from the sublimator gives an effect that's identical to being a new smoker. It gives you a strong, long lasting high. It brings you back to the stoned ages when you and your friend would go half on a dub in freshman year and smoke a joint. The high lasts much longer than smoking and vaping too. If your like one of my friends and prefers the familiar feeling of weed then this product may not be exactly for you. If you want a strong and long lasting high like when you first started smoking then this is the piece for you.

Now, how the piece works. It's important to let the piece heat up for 30 minutes on the first use to burn off all oils left on the metal from production. After it takes about 15 minutes to heat up on every other use. It's important to remember that when it's loaded the piece is still giving off heat. That means if you go express and take three good hits right after packing it each hit will taste very fresh. If you let it sit the bowl gets dry and gets kinda a nasty taste. After each hit the atomizer can be lifted to be cleared. Personally, I think it hits better when you put the atomizer on a bong and not the acrylic tube it may come with but that's personal preference. When using it with friends a good method to use it is load the bowl and on a few drags get it milked and let people pull from it. You would think it would get stale if you let the vapor sit but surprisingly it doesn't. It can sit for like 5-8 minutes and still taste fresh.

The sublimator comes with a temperature control unit with 12 hearing levels. Personally I let it heat up on 7 then drop it to 6. I think this works best but of course it takes time to figure out what works best for you.

If you're buying a master kit be carful when setting up the screens. Well really for everyone. The screens are slightly smaller than da Buddha screens but they're more durable. They will fall in the first few times until you get it right. For master kit owners I say be careful because if the screen falls in with the bud just remember to unscrew and clean out the little sublimate catcher on the bottom of the elbow piece so when you do collect your sublimate there is no plant matter in there.

    Lastly, the price.

As of now only one company makes them, and that's sublimator. I would value the titanium nail v4 12 inch master kit at $700 tips but if you have the money to invest the $864 you won't feel cheated out of your money. You're just paying a little more for a very enjoyable luxury. I can see the price falling once their production increases or U.S. Factories start producing them as well. All in all, it's well worth the money once you get everything set to your preferences.

I hope this helped many people in their search for information on the famous sublimator. All in all, the piece gets a 9.5 out of 10 in my opinion. It's not a 10 for the sole purpose that I think it should be slightly cheaper.

This is also my first post on this website. Please let me know if you found this to be useful. I wish someone had written something like this before I bought mine. Again, I don't regret it but I don't like risking my money like that.

Happy sublimating fellow stoners. Stay high and let the good times come :)

  2. Nice review. This an amazing first post.

  3. Love my sub, just picked up some build a bong pieces, got a showerhead perc and a bent neck mouthpiece. Lets just say I chill on cloud nine on the daily. Best investment I have ever made, I have about $1300 invested in my sub. In 2 weeks sublimator will be releasing their own glass line. About a month until their colab pieces with roor are available. Hopefully their digital temp controls will be available soon.

Have to give my sub and their customer support a solid 10/10.

    You the man Enrico!
