Please help New to dabbing

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Malone13, Jul 23, 2015.

  1. Hey folks,
So I'm new to dabbing and there must be something I'm doing wrong because I can't get the bubbler to fill up with smoke and get a good hit. So I have water in the bubbler, I've heated up my ceramic nail with the torch (I have pictures below.) When I take my concentrate that's on my dab tool and put it into the heated nail, the shatter melts right away, but when I'm hitting the pipe, barely any smoke gets into the chamber and I'm basically just wasting it. (I get a tiny bit is smoke, but nothing to what I should be) Is there something I'm doing wrong??? I know the butane torch is small, but it gets a petty good flame and I light it for a while, and gets the nail extremely hot. Please help, it would be greatly appreciated. Below are pictures. 2. You need a carb cap in order to keep the smoke from escaping, try using a metal spoon for the time being that should work until you get one

  3. ok, I'll try that in a little. Are you sure that's all I have to do? Because I've seen videos online and even before people put the carb cap on, their pipes/bongs seem to fill with smoke.

  4. definitely just not getting it hot enough. that torch kinda sucks and looks weak, no offense. even with the cap, your bong would fill with smoke the second you touch your dab to it and begin inhaling.

Carb caps raise the temp and prevent smoke from getting away. Your torch isn't strong enough. Try just holding torch against one spot and than dab it in that spot because that's the only way you will get it hot enough. You cant heat the whole nail with that.

  6. Definitely need better torch. Had the same problem, got a big Blazer on Amazon. My dabs are infinitely better. Carb cap helps too for sure, but biggest issue is your torch.

  7. For low temp dabs yeah. but his problem is that torch is way to small. go get a benzomatic for cheap at Lowe's. You don't have enough heat

  8. Lol no. Carb caps do not raise the temp. The slow the rate of heat loss
