UK finally taking the first steps to legalisation

  1. Popping this here since no one has reported it yet!

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11753350/Police-force-gives-cannabis-users-green-light-to-grow-drugs.html

Naturally all the media is calling marijuana a gateway drug and saying it's a terrible idea. BBC even hired a chav to appear on the news to say that it was marijuana that caused him to take heroin. With the tories in place there's no chance of much else in the next five years.

I doubt this will last long, but fuck, it's a step ahead.

  2. I was just about to post that up! Thanks for the link. Signed myself too.
Yep, completely agree whilst Cameron is in office there's no chance of legalisation. Ironic considering if it was legalised he wouldn't need all those cuts.

  3. i just hope that this petition pushes legalisation closer... would be good all the mp's disscussing it.
who knows tho, torries may legalise it.

local weed shop would be niiice :D

  4. I really hope it is within the next 5 yrs im tired of dealers it would be great to walk to your local weed dispensary and get an eighth instead of getting 2 grams for the cost of an 1/8th

  5. I love how the police in Durham have basically said they're not going to go after anybody growing for personal use, so what maybe 1-5 plants? Possibly less? But the news shows grow rooms full of like 100 plants, as if the police are letting big time drug dealers get away with growing cannabis.

I used to think the BBC was very unbiased and reasonable, but with the Tories in power, and with the BBC being under scrutiny by them, it looks like they've given in and are working for this dictatorship we find ourselves in today.

  6. News like Russia Today post captions like "Durham police refuse to act on addicts breaking the law" and "Durham Police - Grow weed, we won't arrest you".

    Fucking pathetic.

  7. Just signed it one more for legalisation here

  8. Update: Petition reached 100k. Considered in debate for parliament. Means nothing. Read the response to the largest petition on the website, they don't give a fuck about anyone.

Shame on you if you voted Conservative. This is why I abstained from voting, because all the parties are just plain ruining the country. The NHS is going down the shitter and so is drug reform.

Blanket ban on all psychoactive substances... PATHETIC.

    Thanks for the update M369!

It's really amazing that England residents are pulling together for this. It's the talk of the town at the minute and I haven't heard one person say they'd rather keep it illegal. Not getting my hopes up with the Tories in power but at least we're heading in the right direction. I honestly expect them to laugh it out of parliament and use it for their manifesto in 2020. I can't see any other way ANYONE would vote Tory 2020.

Three more counties snowballing is a great sign. Well done!

  11. No problem! I will keep updating this thread.

( Please note that discussion of drugs other than cannabis is not permitted on these forums. Although a casual mention, I have removed part of your post for this reason )

I just saw this report. Very positive!

  12. Can't believe the Daily Mail.

  13. Anything under - plants that can yield up to a kilo without evidence of dealing is considered personal use. First time won't carry a prison sentence.

  14. Would you vote Tory if they were promising to decriminalise weed?

    I certainly wouldn't!

  15. Oh christ no, I can't understand why they got in parliament in the first place.

  16. Won't be long brothers, they can only hold off the inevitable for long, every survey I have seen looks like this 1
