Northern Lights - Probems with leaves

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by thcmastera, Jul 21, 2015.

  1. I'm currently growing Northern Lights, and these three plants seem to be having issues. The first plant seems to be magnesium deficiency , or Nitrogen deficiency? The second and third plant I have no idea whats going on. Any help, or suggestions would be great. They are about 19 days old. 1000 watt HPS. Only nutrients given was the first week at 7 days, Jungle Juice Grow.

  2. If that is soil, it's not nutrient deficiency after 19 days. At least, not due to a lack of it being present What is the medium?

The edges of the leaves are curled up, which is a sign of heat stress, and under 1000w lamp that correlates. Raise the light a good amount, even as much as a foot, and see if that improves. Get a fan blowing on them. t.

It's really hard to see the colour or quality of the leaves under that orange light. Some plants in some soils suffer nutrient burn as their roots spread into the pot and they can recover, many new growers chronically over-water their plants which causes all kinds of problems with the leaves that look like deficiency or pH, the medium or your water could have some crazy pH, more information is needed to narrow down a solution.

    What is your medium?
What's the temperature in your space?
How do you water them? and what do you know about the water? (pH? well water? especially hard or soft?)
What nutrients do you have available?
Take a picture with more natural lighting if you can.
Definitely increase the distance between the plants and the light.
