Clones

  1. Hi all, I've been seeing quite a few cloning questions and thought I'd share how I go about cloning.

I originally started out cloning using a aero bucket I put together. Worked fine had 7 holes and eventually wanted a larger system.

I also used Rockwoll cubes and that again worked fine but I hate buying them all the time.

My current system works great and very low maintenance.

One Rubbermaid tote, the more shallow and elongated the better.

Cut holes in lid for net pots 1 inch or so.

Get collars for net pots neoprene and reuse able.

Add water, PH to 5.5 add clonex res solution. In 10 gallons I just put in about 90 ml not really needed but I have a bunch laying around.

Cut clones long. The idea is the longer stem will sit in the water constantly.

Add air. Because your just letting stems bubble in the water.

Here's the best part check in 7 days and look for roots.

If not let them continue till your ready. I even leave them in there till I need them some roots get huge and works well. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1437330875.648634.jpg

  2. Bravo. Very exciting to see this method working. Creating my own. Putting it to test tomorrow

  3. Next step I'm taking for efficiency is using a 3-4 foot long tote and maybe 6 inches deep vs a taller one. The issue becomes the amount of water to raise it to the stems. If it's elongated there would be more space for net pots and also save on water, again saving on clonex solution.

Good luck man it certainly worked for me. Thanks for reading!

  4. but why post it ...in Advanced Growing Techniques hopefully some noob may well read it ...?

  5. Because all the posts bout cloning in here seems like people were confused about how to make it as easy as possible

  6. What do you use for an air pump ?? Also, how many air stones?

  7. Usually I just use they active Aqua with two stems. I don't use stones much I use the long tubes with holes in them.

  8. Sounds like it could fit in my clone cab nicely.

Aeroponics is the way to go with clones for sure.

    Very nice man.

  9. What do they look like lately?

All the clones are now flowering. I have to move soon getting out of the service and going home.

I have one seed of this strain left so I'm hoping when I get a new place I can start again if not this strain its cookies kush or white strawberry skunk up next. May start all three strains. Love the strawberry banana kush right now though.

  11. I took clones today of plants that were flowering, how long will it take to get them re-vegging? I'm fresh into growing and any advice would be appreciated!

  12. The further into flowering the less likely the cutting is to take or so it's been my experience.. If I have to try and save a flowering strain I'll reveg it under 24-0 until it's back in veg before taking new cuttings from it.. Just my 2 cents..

  13. I'll keep you updated, I wasn't sure if it would work but I figured I should give it a try since I'm still a couple weeks from switching to flower and taking cuttings from a couple new clones. Thank you for the reply. New to this forum thing, open to all advice!

  14. I do aero phonics as well. But I'm probably the "mac giver" stoner.... I make an irrigation inside spraying water on my cuts and a sonic fog maker for ponds.
