How an Ohio Ballot Measure Could Create a Marijuana Monopoly

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by jainaG, Jul 19, 2015.

  1. Its fucked up. They need to do what most states do and just approve dispensaries and grows instead of fucking up the market right out of the start.

  2. ResponsibleOhio may have just shot themselves in the foot again with "Buddie" their weed nugget superhero. Ultimate mascot fail.

That is not how most legalization is going down lol.

Million dollar licences.....ultra restricted/limited farm permits either decided by a mystery board of dickhead bureaucrats or a lotto you have to pony up a grip for to get your name in the running. By the rich for the rich Crony Capitalism is the standard for cannabis legalization. The majority doesn't give a fuck either...they get legal weed and not go to jail, that's all that matters.

I fully expect the legalization of cannabis in most all if not every single state to be no different.

Hell by 2030 all production will prob be exported to China with a full ban on growing state side.

  4. As long as people will be allowed to grow their own, all that other stuff won't matter as much.

    Maybe for some.

For others like myself it's heartbreaking to see our hopes and dreams get crushed by crony dick heads who own lawmakers in every other state writing "If you're not a multi millionaire or a homie/privileged chosen you don't even get to try, fuck you." legalization, knowing we are next.

I'm waiting to see how things pan out, MAYBE CA won't be twats about it but I'm betting one way or another they will corner the markets into a few folks pockets as they can. So even though I'd rather not I'm ready to fire sale all my shit and move to a more affordable place, farm crops not surrounded with over the top levels of hysteria.

  6. Americas disturbing business mantra, when exactly did exporting jobs become a thing anyways[IMG]

  7. When it became cheaper to buy slave labor from teh Chinese government than from American pigs who want to get paid.

  8. While I am in agreement to this. I think most people are just sickened on how this is going down. Also not everyone wants to grow, and that is going to suck for those folks. This is gonna keep the black market open for business.

  9. I think the rest of the nation are pretty disgusted with the monopoly aspects of RO's bill. I'm in CA, so I'm hoping we keep it together in 2016 and don't do something similar. I'd rather keep it in the black market days than do some monopoly BS.

  10. As much as I hate to say it it seems that Ohio is going to have a marijuana monopoly one way or the other
