Yields with CFL?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Stoney_McStone, Jul 17, 2015.

  1. I heard somewhere on the inter webs that when growing with CFL lights the yield is 0.5 of a gram per watt. Is this true or not?

Thanks in advance guys, new to indoor growing just trying to get some ideas and knowledge

  2. Not necessarily true, Ive seen more around up to .8 onwards if setup correctly. Im only throwing 260w at mine, but i believe my yield will be around 1/4 so .25g buds :p lol aka not great. but dont really care its still less than a big HPS and with the space constraints im not even trying lol.

  3. Running 100 watts on 1 plant. 4 weeks veg, 8 weeks flowring, topped once.

  4. nice, id say you would get almost a ounce if things went well :)

  5. Good good. Nice to hear

  6. Any idea if a 60 watt flood light will grow a single plant from veg till flower using a light schedule?

  7. Figured as much

  8. I was able to get a 2oz yield with around 250W of CFLs with an 8 weeks veg period.
It can work well, but you have to take care of everything and make sure your lights are always within 4'' of the bud sites.
its a PITA if you ask me, build yourself a nice DIY LED COB lamp for not much more and it will be mucchhhh better!!

  9. Thats my plan next.

  11. Interesting, I found right in the 35 g rang to be my sweet spot with CFLs. Lots of LST though, gotta keep that lady short and bushy.
