Soo to start off i got some bubba kush auto seeds from a friend who breeds. I got about 500 free seeds so i started to grow them out in my back bush. i put them out about mid may and they just seem like they are taking forever to grow compared to others ive seen. I haven't checked the amount of light is gets as it is outdoors and i don't want to hang around too long in case there a people in the area. I haven't used any fertilizers and the soil is potting mix and some organic compost. They are 6 and 7 weeks so they seem pretty small too me. Any ideas what the problems might be and how to fix them would be sweet!!!! This is my first grow so i don't care if i dont get a big yield i just wanna got all the problems worked out for my next grow.

  2. is there sufficient drainage in the mix? if its just potting soil and compost you might want to add something to help with that (lava rock, perlite...etc) do the pots they are in have drainage?

could also be a light issue. if the last pic is whats surrounding the plants they might not be getting enough light during the day but i dont grow outdoors so im not really sure about that.

  3. Too Much water and not enough direct sunlight, heat by the looks of it

I haven't even been watering as it has been raining once a week and i've heard thats more than enough, so there's nothing i can really do if its over watering. As for drainage i drilled about 6-7 fairly large holes in the bottom of each so thats fine. Next time all definitely add something to the soil for drainage. And yes that is the canopy above my plants and im not sure either if its getting enough sunlight so i may go looking for a new spot.

Soo do you think ill even get a yield off these plants?

  5. No, just leave them grow, and start new plants, you have the seeds.

Find a place when its sunny 11am - 1pm when the sun is the strongest.

I would dig a hole and mix some compost into it and plant directly into the ground. but that's a matter of choice. Brambles and nettles are a sign of great soil for weed plants.

Its best to start your plants inside if possible under lights or on a sunny window sill till there about a foot tall.

    Anymore question please ask.. peace

  6. Where i would need to plant in the ground its completely filled with roots, like the soil is 80% roots so is there any easy way to dig holes through the roots? Also there is raspberry bushes everywhere which would make me assume the soil is acidic so if i fill the hole with my own soil will i have to worry about ph?

  7. No Raspberry bushes would be a good soil I believe as there a similar plant to Brambles. You can just use the pots but make sure there is good drainage if you wish.

Weed is a Weed, stop complicating it. Less is more when growing weed.

Dig a hole if the soil is darkest brown its good soil. You should know to look at it.

Are there no nettle patches there?

I always plant in nettles or bramble, or where you see a lush green area its good soil.

I dig a hole with a good spade and mix compost with the soil. Put up some wire netting around the area and that it. No Ferts. Only water when it hasn't rained for like a week.

  8. UPDATE!

Checked sunlight, they were only getting partial sunlight for about 3 hours so i moved them and they get 6-7 hours now!

Got my stepmom and Grandma out looking at my plants they have over 40 years of cultivation experience between the two of them so i got everthing setup right.

Added fertilizer which my Grandma advised.

Plant 1 had stretched and im not sure if its gonna make it being so stretched? It also looks like something has been eating at it or some other disease any suggestions for a fix would be awsome. (Not slugs my trap is working great)

Plant 2 is thickening its stem now and is looking alright.

Got 5 new seedlings that haven't stretched much and are growing quickly.

I am happy for you they will be fine, even if some are stretched it will still flower and grow.
