  1. I did a quick search of the lighting section here and didn't see much in the ways of any information on this light. It's a mogul socket wing that is touted to produce 9000 lumens at 6500k temperature full spectrum from a 125w cfl bulb.

This is what it looks like.

Now websites have this wing listed at anywhere from 55.95 - 89.95 U.S.
I'm not gonna post the sites directly because I believe in do it yourself research.

For the sake of this discussion I'm going to say this wing will be used for 1 plant vegetative growth only at the moment. I'm curious to here what the lighting gurus think of this wing/hood.

  2. It can't be all that bad, it's a mogul plug that maxes at a 200w bulb. Right?

  3. Nice one, but I have a 200 watt dual spectrum CFL which just hang between two plant without a reflector as the guy in the store reckons as the light weakens so fast in CFL a reflector is a money racket. Better to hang straight down between the plants, this way more of the plant get light.
The blub is a Elektro dual 200 watt for 55 euro
The lamp hanger is a E40 from plug and grow uk for 14 euro.
    Works great, especially for autos.

  4. I have 2 of these and I love them for veg. the reflector works better over a much larger space if you add some extra wings made from mylar coated bubble wrap or reflective aluminum. Or you can hang them vertically between larger plants like Newoak suggests.

  5. I have one use it fot flowering with several other 300w cfl 2700k bulbs works great with or with out the hood.
    Take a look
