  1. alright so I'm planning on buying one or the other I got 6 grand to play with and I want to figure out which car would be better with 6 grand. I'm definitely leaning more towards the LS1 camaro, as I'm defi Isley a Chevy fan. I'm not a ford fan buy I've had a few fox bodies and i liked them. What's everyone Opinion on this one and why? Remember I only have 6 grand to play with, but I've found z28 ls1 cars for under that. I could most likely get a built low mile fox body for that kind of money......

  2. Ls1 is where it's at.

  3. Im a ford guy.....

Now that thats out of the way.. Really its about what you want to do with the car....
A DD backroad carver.. Mustang FTW
Its better riding, and better on fuel.

Track/racing car - Camaro all day.
Faster, lighter, but harder on fuel, and rides too harshly for long trips.

Really I just like the look of the Mustang better, so even though its slower, and doesnt handle as well, Id still have it over the camaro.

  4. the camaro actually handles better and the ls1 gets good gas mileage. The camaro is about 150-250lbs heavier but has a stronger transmission and an extra gear. The 302 Windsor is a good motor but the aluminum Chevy block can hold much more power. The 302 can split in half at 400-500whp.

The camaro is newer and likely in better shape. More modern looking and better for daily driving.

The camaro wins hands down in every department. I've been around both and am biased about neither.
