Leaves drooping, curling and showing signs of nute burn

  1. Hi(gh) guys. This is my first post, very happy to join the community. I've read tons of threads/forums on here. My baby is about 2 1/2 weeks into flower. She's done so good but I've noticed that her leaves are starting to droop and look sickly. They are also curling and showing signs of nute burn, but I really don't think I could have burned her. Any comments or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
A little more detail about my grow. She is super lemon haze. I vegged her for right around 9 weeks under cfls and T8 fluorescent tubes. Luckily at the beginning of flowering I got a 150watt hps sun system hood and bulb. I still use 4 cfls for side lighting. For nutrients I use jobes organic 4-4-4 and tomato tone 3-4-6. I know these aren't ideal nutrients, but in my location it's about the best I could come up with. I hate to say it, but during veg I did use mg 24-8-16 two times. I have a fan on her 24-7 and open a window behind her multiple times a day to vent. Temps are around 78 lights on and 68-70 lights off. I don't know the exact humidity but is guestimate somewhere between 45-55% although I could be wrong. My substrate is 60% coco coir, 30% mountain soil, 5% tomato tone 3-4-6 5% of the jobes organic 4-4-4. The whole grow has went great, exceptional imo for my first grow. But over the past few days I've noticed these problems. I've narrowed it down to what I THINK may be a few possible problems: possibly root bound, maybe over or under watering, or possibly a nitrogen deficiency. I'm not too sure on the over/under watering. I water her usually daily or every 2 days but I usually give a quarter gallon of rain water or less. I give her about 40% strength tomato tone 3-4-6 about once every 10 days Root bound is a possibility because she is exactly 2 ft 8inches in a 2 gallon container. (Yes she has good drainage) I'll add pictures, also if there is any further questions to help aid me, please ask!

Also here's a couple more pics of her without the problems ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1436311919.084539.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1436311944.483189.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1436311969.453694.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1436311983.068134.jpg
Thank you so much in advance for any thoughts, tips and/or recommendations!

  2. Not enough light...put another light bright on it..lol

  3. I'm a noob and know better than that. I've came I the conclusion that it's nitrogen toxicity. Lol thanks anyway

  4. Lol sorry.....I just thought I seen a light bright:)
Ok so what is your PH level in your water and in your feed mix?
I think your watering her to much..she needs time to develop that feed before she drinks again. When you have coco and soil mix you can run in to problems. After you water or feed her, do you drain out the overflow water?
Yes I was thinking she was root bound, but if you transplant her now, she might a little more stressed...but what can you do, it might need to be done.

  5. Yeah, as much as I hate to, I think I better transplant. Better to do it now than get a few more weeks into flowering and regret I didnt. I have a 150watt hps & 3 40watt 2700k cfls and 1 40watt 3500k. It's not ideal, but for one small plant it should be enough.
I honestly don't know the ph. I've only tested once, sadly, the soil mix was 7 & I only use rain water, which was 6.3. I understand the importance of ph, but there's no where local to get one. I think it's more from watering too often. It doesn't drain when I water, but like I said I only water a quarter gallon or less but usually daily or every 2 days. Doesn't sound like the best way, but it's worked for me/her. She's looked great up until about 3 days ago. Since she's showing signs of n toxicity I went ahead and flushed her.
Do you have any experience using tomato tone 3-4-6? I wish I had something with a little higher p

  6. There are so many things you are doing that aren't in keeping with growing healthy plants any one of which could cause this.

Seems you are only growing one plant so why not make correcting issues as simple to as possible?

    A simple bubble bucket, or, better still a simple F & D

See my tutorial in the hydro section, or my current grow

This reveg is < 6 weeks. Pic with hand is 24" below the led panel

  7. You can get ph testers at any pet store that sells fish or a store that sells pools.

  8. @ preflora I fixed her by flushing heavy. I found out one of my friends put a nitrogen rich fert on her without my knowledge. Well hopefully fixed her anyway. I flushed heavily and she seems to be doing better
@ trichuk I know, the only places around my location are fast food, kroger & magic mart. Only place within 30 miles sales cheap inaccurate ph testers

Here's a few updates pictures. Do you guys think she seems to be doing alright?

  10. Look good, but you have awhile to go yet. Good luck with her.

  11. Thanks bro. And I know. I'd say at least another 8-10 weeks. Give or take a week or so. Saturday will make week 3 of flowering. Does she seem to be about as far along as she should be for almost 3 weeks of flowering?
