Hi guys, on 24 June, wanted to try out monster cropping and and also compare clonning at 2nd week of flowering and also clonning at 4rd week of flowering.
This is my first time doing this so please tell or guide me if I am doing wrong.
Sorry but I messed up on the strain when I am prunning the plant so they are either mango or blue dream. Or maybe both blue dream.

I purchased several Unnecessary stuff like titanium scissor and titanium pen knife hahaha. Just for fun to go with this experiment.

    image.jpg
Preparing the soil with John Arthur bower seedling and cutting soil.
    image.jpg
Adding perlite and vercumilite. 1/3 each to soil
    image.jpg
Now is to cut from the main plant choosing from flowering site that is at the side
    image.jpg
so it will not affect my main cola. ( blue dream )
    image.jpg
Place the soil into little pots
    image.jpg
and water they with 6.5 ph water (no nute)
    image.jpg
Only with hydroguard to encourage root grow.

Now come the fun part. I cut the stem diagonally as instructed by information gathered on the Internet.
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
    And dip them into clonex
    image.jpg
    image.jpg
And place the pants into the hole of the soil
    image.jpg
    and cover them.
I just placed them beside window, no direct sun, no cfl, just misting the leave and soil twice every day.
    image.jpg
In air condition room. 25-29 deg c. No humidity drome as humidity in room range between 55- 65

7 Days later on the 29 of June. It show some sign of life/ recovery. Seem that stem stiffening and growing very little by little.
    image.jpg

Continue to give 7ph water twice daily with 18 hours of light daily. 12 hour of window light and 6 hours of halogen light from ceiling during the night.

  4. Today I had a better idea lol. I got this cutting

    image.jpg

from pruning my 4 week into flowering bluedream
    image.jpg

Decide to try clonning one that is already 4 weeks into flowering for comparison. So same thing I cut diagonally and dip into clonex and then into soil.

Unfortunately due to space constraint in grow tent. I only allow to have two clone so I decided to removing one of the clone that look unhealthy.

Guess which one I getting rid of ;p
    image.jpg

Yes the one on the left. ;p

Let's see the progress of it roots
Look it rooting in just 10 days
    image.jpg

Amazing! Just a pain to have to dispose it.

  6. Both of them now sitting by the window having a good time.
    image.jpg

Going to give them a thorough water with 6.5 ph water + hydro guard .

the only concern I have now is my clone have to be in line with my other plants which is now 3 weeks and 4 weeks into flowering.
    4 weeks flower
    image.jpg
    3 weeks image.jpg
Which means the flowering plant in grow tent have to be harvested and give way to clones when it start growing stronger
image.jpg So that clone will have proper lighting.
Do you guys think the timing/ schedule is good?

  11. good post :)

Morning sun for her as she's already rooted
    image.jpg

    Noticed some yellowing tip

Is there something I am doing wrong?
I never add nute and soil is for seedling which is low in nutrition.

no sun for her as she's not rooted yet.
    image.jpg
Just some low window day light

  13. Something off the topic. See this.?
    image.jpg

I call her Mickey as in Mickey Mouse for obvious reason hahah.

she a mango at 8 weeks from sprout.

Yes she was flip to 12/12 and then back to 18 hour of light again.
Poor girl, She is bound in this small container and is still surviving lol. I did not transplant her due to space issue.

Just did some mainlining on her.

    image.jpg

    Notice some preflower on her?
    image.jpg
Her main stem I cut off to main line.

She can take her own sweet time to grow ;)

Just misted her leaves and her roots.
    image.jpg

How she looking on her first day?
She must be really thirsty as the mist I spray on her leave 10 sec ago is already adsorbed by her.
Do you guy think I should give her some morning sun?

  15. Something is wrong [IMG]

  16. Giving her some support. Hopefully it help.

Could it be too much water??

Putting some tissue to suck out excess water

  17. high humidity, 18hours of low light, 20-100w of cfl is quite nice, i normally cut small cuttings, and cover them in a humidity dome with holes for ventilation. just check on it regularly, after a week will either be dead or look same + some maybe, simple as that for all mine so far. I do use clonex tho, and not tried monster cropping.

  18. I have a question Grassboy. Why did you change the pH of your water from 6.5 to 7? As long as you have them in soil, you need to keep the pH of your water right around 6.5 unless you're trying to adjust for screwed up soil pH or something. Just wondering. TWW

  19. Hey Grassboy....I snagged the wrong post for a quote above...sorry. But what I said is just standard knowledge and applies regardless. Be very careful about over watering when your babies are little. The root system is what uses water and you don't have much of one on a new clone. They do better if you let them dry almost completely out before you give them any water. This will force the roots to search out the entire pot and create a stronger and happier root system. Happy roots...happy plant. Over watering is the one thing that almost every new grower does. LOL TWW

  20. Question. . What's the difference between super cropping and monster cropping. ..
