Excruciating tootache while high?

  1. While sober I have an extremely painful toothache, but last night, after smoking a fat joint, the pain increased by an infinite amount. It was truly one of the most painful things I have ever felt. The tooth and the affected area felt like someone kept on slicing it with a scalpel, making deep incisions and hitting the nerve each time. I seriously can't put into words how much it hurt.

Anyways, did anyone else experience this? I thought MJ was supposed to be a painkiller. :(

(First post so sorry if against the rules.)

  2. Hi Monkey. Welcome to the forum and sorry it's under these conditions. More than likely, you've got some infection or an abscess in that tooth and inhaling or "drawing in" the air when you smoked the joint allowed some of it to filter down into the roots/nerves of your teeth and caused it to hurt more. Sounds like you need to break down and go to the dentist or at least hunt up some antibiotics and take a round of those to get the infection out. That should clear up your pain but, of course, won't fix the initial problem. Hope you get to feeling better! TWW

  3. you should just tom hanks that bitch and knock it out with an ice skate then go run around for 3 years 2 months 14 days and 16 hours until you reach the polar express, and you better play dead when andy gets home or you'll be shipped off to defend our nation in ww2. paintings of the mona lisa won't bail you out of this one

idk where im going with that lol stupid.

    go to the dentist

  4. Thanks, man. I think you're on to something there. The hot smoke might be the problem because my tooth is also really sensitive, too. As you said, it's probably going straight to the nerve.
I completely forgot about antibiotics - they helped me so much with my last toothache. Hopefully it gets me through the weekend until I can finally go the dentist and get it pulled out (if necessary.) Once again - thanks. I really appreciate it.

  5. hey monkey I just beenthough that last month.I had to get two teeth extracted cuz of my wisdom teeth messed my alignment up in my mouth but anyway they were chipped and hurt like hell and widow white is spot on about smoking and the pressure it puts on ur gum and nerves , cuz after I got the teeth pulled I got instructions saying you shouldn't smokeanything while u have an infection plus if u do get it out u have to be careful about dry socket when u smoke they say u shouldn't for the first three days after u get pulled. In the meantime lots of motrin is e best thing even tho it barwlly takes the pain away it will make it tolerable till u get anti biotics and what not . hope ya feel better

  6. I have the exact same problem and its been going on for 6 months. A few weeks ago I started using sensodyne toothpaste and it solved my problem. I brush 2-3 times a day and right before I smoke if I'm going out and so far its working great!
