Weed causing anxiety?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by yung.toker420, Jul 3, 2015.

  1. About 2 years ago I started smoking on occasion (normally weekends with freinds). I gradually got to the point were i started smoking atleast a few times a day (wax pen mostly). Ive been dabbing daily for about 4 months. Back before i started smoking i didnt have very much anxiety problems at all, i had no problem speaking infront of large groups of people, I had no problem talking to new people and making friends. But ever since id say a year ago i started to get more and more anxiety (have trouble holding concersations and never knowin what to say with people that i dont know very well, have trouble making new friends)
. I know that weed is used to treat aniety sometimes and ive heard others say its caused them anxiety. What is your opinions and personal expiriences id like to know. Thanks

Stop smoking cannabis. Obviously it's causing you serious problems, perhaps from your intake. It's people like you and your petty complaints who don't know when to stop smoking that helps make legalization so hard. We don't need all you teenagers
complaining about how cannabis has made their life worse. Get some common sense, mate, stop smoking and complaining!
And what is this doing in Seasoned Tokers? You are pre- apprentice as far as I can tell.
I smoke cannabis and have since 1986 without the problems you describe. Cannabis is something you personally can't handle with out personality problems.

  3. Yeah wrong forum... "Seasoned tokers" refers to people who have been smoking for a while and can handle it.
But it sounds like you need to practice moderation. Smoking all day everyday isn't ideal for every personality nor every lifestyle

  4. So I can get anxiety from even small amount. I have found indica strains where it's not so high in thc but has cbd is better for me. But you're doing dabs and stuff. So it's not shocking that you're getting a little strung out. Balance is key, don't be out of control of yourself.

  5. im not complaining about how weed has made my life worse. Infact it has made it better i love to smoke and enjoy it very much. And ya i wasnt sure what seasond vs apprentice was so i just posted here. Im not going to stop smoking but im going to cut down and see how it affects me. And im not a pre apprentice lol i know a lot about the plant and how it affects you.

You are complaining. You know nothing about the plant or it's effects when over used or
you wouldn't be posting this BS. You make "yung" tokers sound silly and stupid and I know many of them on this forum who can responsibly smoke cannabis and are not silly or stupid.
Two years obviously does not make you seasoned, and moaning about how you can't make friends, can't hold down a conversation even with people you know well. Mate, You're too young to smoke. You a pre-pre-pre apprentice idiot who tokes and shouldn't.
This is my personal experience as someone who has responsibly smoked and handled cannabis without personality problems for a long time. Cannabis does not cause me to become anxious, to not be able to chat with friends, start a conversation, or meet new people. I have fun when I smoke and I especially don't go around saying things that feed the anti cannabis folks out there by telling them.
I can't handle it without problems.

I guess cannabis also turned you into a total snob. Holy shit some of you "seasoned stoners" are a bunch of assholes, sure tell him he's in the wrong thread but nobody wants to listen to you totally tearing this guy a new one for asking a few questions.

Hey OP, I can relate somewhat. I suffer from social anxiety and sometimes depending on the strain, or my environment smoking cannabis can cause me exaggerated symptoms. Cannabis related paranoia sucks, it doesn't mean you're too young to smoke and it doesn't mean you're an idiot as this jack-off above has told you. Try smoking more mellow strains and going for walks around your neighborhood after a bowl of two, strike conversations with people and work on your social skills. It's not fool proof but it's a start and hopefully it will get you back to enjoying the herb without all the stress.

    Best of luck friend [IMG]

  8. Your obviously the fucking idiot who doesnt know shit. You think its just me that has gotten anxiety from use of marujuana? No ive seen man other people posting threads about this and if your that fuckin ignorant that you have to be a douche bag about a question i asked on here then whats the point of being in this community? I didnt go and be rude to you. One of the main side effects or weed is anxiety and paranoia dumb fuck. I know how to responsibly smoke cannibis its not like i was gettin loaded all throughout the fucking day. I would smoke throughout the day just to get buzzed then get very baked at night. I know how to use it responisbly thats why i am cutting back. Just because you are fine with its effects and it hasnt done anything like this to you doesnt mean it doesnt happen to others, and isnt the whole point of this community to ask questions like the one i posted? So chill the fuck out.

  9. If you know so much about this plants effects as a "seasoned toker" why not try explaining to him the difference between indicas and sativas in social situations also how cbd can fix the paranoia and anxiety effects in high thc strains instead of ripping into him...

Op id advise you to smoke a indica dominant strain that has high cbd in it as it will keep your thoughts semi relaxed compared to a high thc sativa. Dabbing isnt for everyone as it generally has stupidly high thc levels, stick to the bud mate!

My problem with you is that while we're trying to get marijuana legalized in this country you're going about moaning how bad it is for you. The point of this community is to show we can use cannabis responsibly and not give evidence to the haters that it's not true. 7 posts, man you're on a roll. Don't stop now- keep showing your ass.
Kush cookies, you're right. He just pissed me off because I think it makes it look bad for young people to smoke. As to the differences in strains- he told me he knew all about the plant.

  11. i know for the past couple times ive bought grams of some crumble from the medical dispencery (ive had a freind at work getting for me but he recently moved away). Theve been indica dominant strains mostly about 60/40 cross. I Know the didferences between indicas and sativas and its not as much that i have very bad anxiety when im high its mostly when i am not. Its just that ive noticed a change in my personality (more anxiety) since i started smoking and was just trying to get some adivce from people whove had the same problems.

  12. And im not dabbing out of a oil rig, just out of a pen so its not as intence. (More easily consealable and saves a lot of money cs buying tree)

  13. Im not moaning about how it is bad for you? I clearly stated that i love to smoke and it has enhanced my life. All i was asking was some advice from people going through the same issues as me. And why do you care that much about its leaglization? Your going to smoke it no matter if it is or not

  14. Well im no doctor im just talking from experiance, ive never had any anxiety in my life until a few months ago it hit me, i stopped smoking for 2 months and its gone id suggest taking a long break get healthy (plenty of vitamin b and c) good for stress and then go back to smoking bud with a high cbd content. Leave the concentrates alone!

  15. Ok thanks for the advice

  16. Ok, yung. toker420. I apologize I shouldn't have given you so much shit. I just expect more maturity from you young tokers. I care very much if it's legalized, as you should if you're not in a legal or medical state.
Please accept my apologies. I must need a hit. I hope you get things worked out. There have been many constructive posts that should help you out.

  17. If you want cannabis to get legalized you need to speak the truth not hide behind lies. it DOES have negative effects and that needs to be addressed moving forward.

  18. You're all a bunch of dicks

  19. it's all mental

it can certainly increase a persons anxiety

    or relieve it altogether

it's all about state of mind

In the early 90's I experienced a bad acid trip and smoking weed has never been the same since.
I almost always feel more susceptible to anxiety when I toke beyond 3 hits from a joint. Sometimes I'll feel a minor bummer from doing just 2-3 hits.
I usually feel it at the beginning of my high. It always goes away. I now view anxiety from smoking weed as a necessary evil. Whatever I'm feeling at the moment tends to get magnified 10 times over after I toke.
If it gets bad, I'll pop a .50 mg of Xanax (or two). Very rarely does get that bad, though.
